Not you mate. Was going to say something about John Wheeler, Participatory Realism, and Time and Space as emergent rather than fundamental properties in QM. But I decided I didn’t have time (or space).

 

The old Anthropic Principle stuff. Well, you know my thinking from the Prem science thread - I think the whole subject is akin to a geocentric universe, putting man smack-dab in the middle of everything. Put there by God, of course. And despite Feynman being one of his acolytes, even he was rowing back on the One Electron theory in his later years.

But I'll cede to Johnny Nash on the subject.

If you haven’t done so already, you might want to read On The Origin of Time by Thomas Hertog. Hertog was Stephen Hawking’s last collaborator. Hawking came to the conclusion that astronomers had been wrong to try to envisage the universe as if from the outside looking in. Ties in to some of Wheeler’s - and David Bohm’s - ideas about consciousness being fundamental, and the observer being inseparable from the act of observation. Though Hawking didn’t go as far as Wheeler, or Neuroscientist Guilio Tononi for example, who has argued that all material phenomena emerge from universal consciousness. And this is scientists talking, not philosophers or theologians.

 

Utter bollocks.

 

Any specific objections?

 

The moon is a ball of plasma, not a rock that you can send space rockets to & most simpletons still believe the Yanks did it 50 plus years ago .

Hawking probably went to Epstein Island & got fiddled with by Jewish businessmen ffs.
