I have known this coast for sixty years. Tidal surges and overtopping is becoming a regular event. As a regular walker of the coast I have seen occasional flood surges throughout those decades. The last has seen three large ones and many smaller ones. Deaths are rare because we are now aware of those coming. 1953 wasn't predicted and no warnings given. The one at Hemsby north of Yarmouth yesterday was a big one. A couple more could see permanent flooding as the sea breaks through and encircles these communities.

There are more than 5 million on out of work benefits in this country that politicians choose to just pay to not work as immigrants will do the work cheaper and pay taxes that fund the benefits. Starmer reckons he will build 1.5 million houses in 5 years but legal immigration will be nearly 4 million so the housing problem won’t be solved and nobody has achieved the housebuilding target in 50 years so it is all lies. Welfare and the NHS: the two Communist disasters of the post WWII Labour government that could not get re-elected. Reform of the sacred cows is fifty years overdue but nobody has the political balls to do it.
Things tend to improve a bit under Labour even if random gammon cry about “Brown selling the gold” or whichever bollocks it is this week to justify their “they’re all the same” noncery.
I can't be arsed to reply to all your post, but I will reply to the first paragraph... Absolutely not true. No one had forgotten anything but we've already had 13 years of Tory, so now time to give someone else a go. I'm not saying Labour are the answer either, but they are the only credible alternative vote. Unless you can point me to someone else and explain why, I would genuinly be interested? I've not decided on my vote yet, at the most we have another year to think about the options, at the least another six months. As it stands Tories are no for me, and Labour is a maybe or not to vote or vote for another party that will not even get a seat in Parliament!
