You can usually tell those that are new to this sort of thing, and are gullible enough to reinforce their in built prejudice with selected soundbites and headlines they think support their view. They generally fail to look at the state of the rest of the western world, and will turn a total blind eye to the long standing mess in the third world and China, which is now just an accepted consequence of the virtue signalling 'green' technology they've been sold. Of course it needs to be cleaner, but it wasn't environmentalists or investigative journalism that brought this information to the press and sundry lightweights, it was the enforcing bodies.
