Foreign workers have flocked to the UK rather than the EU due to Britain’s post-Brexit immigration system, job site Indeed claims. The UK is reportedly more attractive for international candidates as interest in British postings has soared since the post-Brexit immigration overhaul in 2021. Since early 2021, views of UK job listings on Indeed’s website from people outside of Britain have risen by 142 per cent. According to the job site, it is the highest number since at least 2017. The Government launched a new point-based immigration system in January 2021, which has effectively made it easier for people from outside the EU to work in the UK. The system scores people based on certain criteria, such as speaking English and having a job offer. Candidates can also score additional points if they have a PhD, earn a high salary or take a job in a sector with a shortage of workers. Those hoping to work in the UK must reach a score of 70 to qualify for a visa. According to Indeed, just over 5 in every 100 views of UK job listings on its website now came from foreigners. Pawel Adrjan from Indeed said: “The UK government’s new immigration policy is operating as intended, with requirements for non-EU workers generally easing after Brexit. And we still trade and engage in sport with these people. Saudi border guards are accused of the mass killing of migrants along the Yemeni border in a new report by Human Rights Watch. The report says hundreds of people, many of them Ethiopians who cross war-torn Yemen to reach Saudi Arabia, have been shot dead. Migrants have told the BBC they had limbs severed by gunfire and saw bodies left on the trails. Saudi Arabia has previously rejected allegations of systematic killings. The Human Rights Watch (HRW) report, titled They Fired On Us Like Rain, contains graphic testimony from migrants who say they were shot at and sometimes targeted with explosive weapons by Saudi police and soldiers on Yemen's rugged northern border with Saudi Arabia. Migrants contacted separately by the BBC have spoken of terrifying night-time crossings during which large groups of Ethiopians, including many women and children, came under fire as they attempted to cross the border in search of work in the oil-rich kingdom. "The shooting went on and on," 21-year-old Mustafa Soufia Mohammed told the BBC. He said some in his group of 45 migrants were killed when they came under fire as they tried to sneak across the border in July last year. "I didn't even notice I was shot," he said, "but when I tried to get up and walk, part of my leg was not with me." https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-66545787
It's disgusting, maybe James Whale should go there and then review his comments on using navy weapons, against illegal immigrants.
What a piss poor attempt at a snide comment. Do you think there should be sanctions against Saudi, if so, in what form? If not, why not?
He popped up on my Twitter feed the other day. Amazing he’s still alive after such a long career of being paid to spew hate. He sounded old as **** on Talksport 15 years ago.
I left the door wide open with an earlier tweet, but it seems they missed a golden opportunity for a challenge, preferring a feeble attempt at distraction that shows their reading habits.
Remember a week ago when Graham Linehan was just some bloke nobody really remembered but spent his days calling people nonces on Twitter? That was a nice time.
Keep up , you know Muslim's especially the brown ones can't be criticised or they out themselves as racist , much better to direct their anger at middle aged white people every time.
