Not yet, but why do we need to go back to an old measurement, other than to upset the loser left?

Did we ever really leave Imperial measurement? Still seems to be in pretty widespread use to me.

I think in both anyway, no problem in using either. I doubt that will be the case with many old timers though after fifty years of metric. It's a Tubs stunt to shore up the 30% spazzy vote he still has.

Yes it's a nonsense irrelevant thing that he's hoping will be popular with morons but equally moronic is the hysterical crap coming from the Gruaniad readers. "the inevitable requirement to learn the 14 and 16 times tables- within an already overstuffed curriculum". "I suppose we should also return to sovereigns and 12pence to the pound!! or maybe right back and pay as the romans did with salt". Etc.

Human Height and weight, speed limits and distance, mpg, horse racing, football pitches. Imperial is still very much in use.

    Thats quite true.

I buy fuel in metric speed is imperial, my height in metric same with weight, don't care for Nag racing.

Strangely, I concur with Kustard. Particularly on Nag racing.

Now if Boris had paid somebody £20,000 to water the plants, he would surely have got the money from a friendly Russian.

If the loonies in Slough cannot get a watering can from the local B&Q and do it themselves, then the plants will just have to die, the place will be less green and they will all have to suffer Sick Building Syndrome.

Tubs did not spend our money on the £840 a roll wallpaper. It was £52k donated by a friend. The £17,800 fine for failing to declare Lord Brownlow’s gift went to the Conservative Party.

The third Mrs Johnson is celebrating her wedding anniversary on 30th May. There may be cake involved but no rules will be broken.

So it would seem that your post has no facts in evidence, which is consistent for you.

Well tbf the most technical machines built are still done so using imperial measurement so why not weights and measures?

Nonsense, it makes perfect sense to return to imperial weights and measures and also to learn the times tables. What would happen if a students battery went flat in their calculator during a maths exam?
Most technical machines such as engines, Planes and rockets are built using imperial measurement all over the world (only metric engine i ever encountered was a Bulgarian Perkins built under licence that, caused some problems trying to get new pistons and the crank ground with shells to fit).
Decimal currency is fine, thick ****s don't find it too taxing because they can use their fingers to count it.
