It'd be ironic if the actions of the migrants across France caused people to rethink having a left wing Government here. The French Revolution had an influence on UK policing and law, as the wealthy started to fear similar events here and put measures in place to nip it out before it could get a foot hold.
My feeling - biased because I'm up here in the frozen North and obviously because I'm a retired railwayman - is Ultra Low areas will not work unless there are Ultra Low Prices in public transport. Commuters, and off-peak leisure travelers especially, generate disposable spending. It's simply unarguable. The Germans are generating resilience in discretionary spending even during an economic crisis by slashing fares. Obviously, though, there's a background of strikes in this country (though German trains are just as unionised as their British counterparts), and the other factor that some might add is that if the huddled masses are all on the cheap tube and buses, the elite is almost treating the semi-deserted roads as the old Soviet-style VIP lanes.
No wonder the Frogs let all the other illegal immigrants cross the channel with impunity. Frogland is a ****ing racist ****ehole that stinks to ****.
No, but as a toddler I was dropped on my head by one of my elder sisters, accidentally I might add. May explain a few things however. Oh well, C'est la vie as they say in Spain.
****ing hell, just caught a bit of the news about the riots in France, and it looks like they're sending 100's of cyclists to sort it out. You can plot their progress. https://www.letour.fr/en/
