cummings,, udoh ,lang ,vela all have chances town show some attacking intent but yet again lack the quality and composure in the last third.town looking the better team but this is a long way from been a classic so the dreaded sucker punch did not happen today and relief to get a goal and a win, most of the teams below us lost and only two managed a draw.whilst town looked the better team in both halfs and deserve credit for the attacking intent showed. but for me both teams were poor town squandered far to many chances and a source of concern was the amount of soft free kicks town gave away some of which were in dangerous areas. an outstanding save from O'Leary in the early stages of the second half prevented a goal from a free kick.Edwards deservers credit for another big shift, laurent made a number of runs that were catalysts for attacks but the flip side his distribution was often poor. Bristol were very poor and did not respond after going a goal down. Williams charged forward with a pass to Udoh who makes aa wonderfull strike relief town are a goal up.Rickets made two defensive substitutions. towrds the end the ref seemed to get a but card happy the more puzzling one was Cummings who booked as he whent off ! i thought the ref was poor and overly fussy which at times made it rather stop start . town ground out a crucial
Any away win in this league is a good performance. Most people would have taken 6 points from the last three games though the players were rightly criticised for the Tranmere effort. The table is looking a bit healthier now so let's give Ricketts credit for trying a more attacking formation. No Tuesday games in March so let's see if we can end the season strongly, recruit well over the summer (how about signing Docherty permanently and getting Grigg in on a season's loan). It would be better for all if we accept Ricketts will be the manager next season and get fully behind him.
