Surely he should have continued with the players that got us there? It would have been a great experience for them to play in a cup semi final, especially the younger players. If we get beat tonight, they'll be rightly pissed off as all their hard work would have been undone by others.
Its a fair point. I expect us to get there, without being disrespectful to Rovers, but my concern is will our form drop off for the next few weeks with players hoping to avoid injuries prior to Wembley?
I'd imagine them 50/50 tackles could now potentially fall 60/40 in favour of the opposition. It will be the first cup final for most of our squad, so I'd imagine they'll be desperate to play. Its a cup where 3rd and 4th division teams put out a reserve team. Its ****. Its pointless. We should have just let Ozturk and co, see the tournament out.
I consider tonight as a free hit, the league is our focus and for me Wembley is merely the cherry on top of what could turn out to be a really fulfilling season. Still want us to win but wouldn't be gutted if we fail.
