Have to be honest, I still think we will struggle to break the top 12. I think there is more to come from the team, especially when we have players return from injuries, but I also look at some of the teams around us (wolves, Bolton etc) and anticipate them (with more money spent) to move up the league. First and foremost it's still survival for me, but think we'll be pretty comfortable come may. 15th was the position, wasn't it IA?
I think Charlie Austin vs. Our Back Four may be one of the great scraps of the season. Vastly unimpressed with him when he played for Swindon but this season, the statistics don't lie - he's scored, on his own, more goals that seven sides in this division have managed between them. Stop him, which I believe our defence are capable of, and we stand a good chance of a positive result - in fact let's get more positive - 2-0 to us.
Typical! Part of your ongoing campaign to make me appreciate a 'struggling' season rather than a championship-winning one. AndI have to say you're right. I enjoyed this win much more than quite a few bankers from last season. However, I'll also enjoy a while buch more on the bounce if the team would oblige. Looks like we may have found our feet, and our shape, in this division. More purring please.
Agree with this but worry that we will be ransacked in January - we've just got Stephens playing as we know he can. We need to keep him now but I suspect his appetite has been whetted..............In a perverse way, Wiggins being out has probably put him out of the shop window for a bit and might be for our good (if not for his) in the short term..
