Completely agree - that's why I was surprised he now bemoans the lack of depth. Every manager has come in to seemingly be a puppet and has then slowly changed their tune. Though Carol should be the most thankful of the lot.

He now has a pub story to tell the boys when he's back in a small rural town in Belgium next season. ''Did I ever tell you the story of when I managed in the English second division....'', whilst clutching his postman sack.

 

The whole redevelopment is costing something like £45 million, as for us looking like Barcelona , the way we played yesterday is similar to every game this season apart from a few shocking displays, where we could have won the game in the first half but our strikers can't hit the target properly, as well as playing 3-5-2 which leaves us open to counter attacks but we have a stubborn manager who never changes the formation.

I thought the way you set up yesterday it seemed like you were trying to avoid a defeat, which of course you did because we aren't potent enough in front of goal and mainly having a squad who aren't decent enough at Championship level apart from Smith and Kodjia.

 

Yesterday was a reminder that love will never be lost with Charlton regardless of what the Belgian c**** do to us.
