    Bristol City v Wolverhampton Wanderers.
    TEAM NEWS
Bristol City could be without former Wolves player Andreas Weimann, who came off in the midweek win over QPR with a back spasm.

But there are no other reported injury worries for the Robins, who are aiming for a 10th consecutive win in all competitions.

Wolves also have no new injuries ahead of the tie.

John Ruddy has played in all Wolves' FA Cup games this season so is set to replace Rui Patricio in goal.

    MOTD COMMENTATOR'S NOTES
Martin Fisher: "The eyes of the world will be focused on that clash at Stamford Bridge on Monday but this tie has the potential to be the pick of the round.

Promotion hopefuls from the Championship at home to the surprise package of the Premier League. Two teams bang in form. Wolves unbeaten in their last six games, Bristol City on an incredible run of nine consecutive wins.

Confidence is high in both camps and there's a bit of 'needle' too. Last season at Ashton Gate, both sides had players sent off before Nuno Espirito Santo was sent to the stands ahead of Wolves' injury-time winner.

Breathless stuff. More of the same, please!

    VIEW FROM THE DUGOUT
Bristol City manager Lee Johnson: "Two big games [between Bristol City and Wolves] last year - very tense and very tight and obviously they've kicked on, and we've got nothing but respect for the job [Nuno Espirito Santo] has done there.

"It's our challenge to beat the team and if that's a case of it being a scalp because of their Premier League status then all the better for us because we've done that four or five times in the last 18 months."

    LAWRO'S PREDICTION
Form-wise, Bristol City are absolutely flying, with nine successive wins in all competitions, but I would still back Wolves to find a way of getting through.

    Prediction: 0-1

In a way, taking part in a 'nothing to lose' kind of game such as this might be good on the ol' nerves, rather than a tense battle at the top of the league (save that for next weekend eh!).

There'll be some interest, such as Palmer surely getting a start and maybe Eliasson given another opportunity to show what he can do. Go out and I would be too miffed, progress and I'll be delighted. Close to win-win (no extra-time though please lads).

Wolves team news: Key man to be assessed before Bristol City clash, fringe man to start

Wolverhampton Wanderers face off against Bristol City in a FA Cup fifth round clash on Sunday afternoon at Ashton Gate.

Wolves will naturally be the favourites for the game as they play in the Premiership, whereas the Robins are in the Championship. A win for the Molineux side will take them to the quarter-finals of the competition for the first time since the 2002-03 season.

However, this could be a tough game for Nuno’s Wolves side. The Portuguese manager may rest certain key players for the game as he looks to preserve their energies, with his side having a good chance to qualify the Europa League next season through their league position.

Bristol City have been in good form recently and have not lost during their last nine games in all competitions.

They also have a good record against Premier League teams at Ashton Gate, having won four out of five of their last domestic cup games against top-flight opposition at home.

Wolves are set to assess the fitness of attacking midfielder Diogo Jota, who is currently recovering from a leg injury, as reported by BBC Sport.

Veteran goalkeeper John Ruddy has so far played for Nuno’s side in all their FA Cup games this season and he is likely to start against the Robins as well.

Meanwhile, Bristol City could be set to be without the services of Andreas Weimann, who is currently recovering from a back spasm. However, apart from that, they do not have any serious injury concerns.

This game could prove to be tougher than it is on paper for Wolves

Couldn't get down there today but watched on the TV......do most things ok but we still need a decent striker IMO......we could have played all day and night and still not scored, just not quite have that edge.....Be interesting the reaction we get from the players after that...fingers crossed!!

Deserved what we got, powderpuff up top it has cost us in the cup and I’m sure it will cost us in the league.
That elusive striker not arriving is going to cost us come the season end.

Now now ROD, but there's something in his comment that is pretty close to the truth in that we have known for some time now that we are weak up front. The fact that we decided not to add to our front runners might seem to be an error of judgement if we don't make the playoffs, but I still believe we have a squad that is more than capable of that achievement and I think they will get there.

Perhaps there was a lack of what exactly we were looking for at the right price - who knows?

I viewed a team out there today, no individuals, okay we lost to a Premier top ten team but I was honestly impressed, well done all concerned, I thought they did us all proud.

It's so easy to criticise but who would be affordable and genuinely improve our front line? Eventually we will need a new striker but it's so easy to pick holes but offer no solutions.
