There are a few on here whom have a bee in their bonnet about certain players.. being picked on basically. Looking for them to fail.. Bit pathetic imo.. all players make mistakes!
For me the most important thing is we rallied as a team and got a winner. Ultimately that could prove more beneficial than coasting to a 1-0 victory, having to dig deep as a team, overcome difficulties, and still managing to win 3 points. That’s massive.
What the whole debacle has highlighted is that there is an apparent lack of ownership of situations, and also communication between keeper and defenders On another day this could have cost us the game Meslier of Leeds made 2 big mistakes against Swansea a couple of weeks ago costing them 2 precious points when they threw away a 2 goal lead and he was immediately dropped for the next game
Ultimately it was Pring’s mistake, he could have left it and allowed Max to catch it, or put it out for a corner, however we don’t have another CB and anyway it would be harsh and counterproductive to drop him. Much better to rally around as a team and pull together.
Mistakes happen. If they didn’t every game would end up 0-0. Neither Max nor Pring are top class - or they would not be playing at BS3. Both have a mistake in them. They ARE however, fully committed - and essential parts of our team that has managed to mount a serious challenge for top 6 at the right end of the season. They both get my full support.
That was the pleasing thing for me, despite the mistake we rallied and went on to win the game, as I said before that’s massive, we could have buckled but we didn’t, remember WBA are a very good side, but overall we outplayed them and fully deserved our win.
