On Han-Noah Massengo... Pearson speaking to BBC Radio Bristol: “I think I said three, four weeks ago that we’d spoken, and he said, 'I’ll be ready if you need me,' and we need him so he’s back in, as simple as that. "He’s a player who’s contracted to the football club, he gets paid by us, so we’ll use him when it suits us. He’ll get an opportunity today and I’ve got no reservations about using him if this situation is needed.”
Nigel Pearson speaks to BBC Radio Bristol On his team selection: “It’s just the side we we feel is the best one to start today. It’s as simple as that there’s nothing complex about it. We need to be positive today, we need to be very much in positive mentality out on the pitch and the 11 players are starting are the best ones for that.”
A strong possession half by City but no luck on the goal front. Our inability to get the ball through their defence down the middle is frustrating because we are fairly predictable down the flanks and Watford handle us quite well in those areas. Pretty dull stuff really but if it gets us a point or three then I'm sure we'll take it gratefully. Weimann looks like he is playing his own game out on the right and his solitude may be an asset, but then again it looks to be a bit out of the main play area. We need some other scores to bend in our favour as we could end up you know wherre if we can't win this one.
I thought we competed well first half especially first 20 minutes.. looked fairly well balanced.. nice Ht tribute to Nathan Baker from NP and the team..
not a cloud in the sky here been up the ladder cleaning out the gutter 1 30l trug of crap so far .. will do some more next fine day ... bit dodgy on own up 25 foot balancing and cleaning out detritus need some help for next go ... though as conservatory in the way of reaching across ....
A single point is better than nothing but although we led the stats we couldn't take the advantage for 3 points. The defence looked fairly solid today but our ever growing weakness up front doesn't auger well for the return of the rest of the season. Will we see any changes during the long break, or will it just be more of the same old same old? I hope the World Cup fires up some players and let's hope for no injuries to dent our hopes.
We played well today apart from not being able to take all 3 points.. defending was pretty sound and thought we were well balanced.. Scott again was my player of the match, really turning out to be a very good footballer.. King did quite well organising at the back, can’t really remember Max having to make a save.. We are one point away from bottom 3 which is worrying.. NP has his work cut out to turn that around after the World Cup..
Strange game. Never got up of my seat apart from Weinmann and Conways chances. But equally never felt nervous when they came forward. Was surprised Sarr never started then when he came on realised he’s lost his mojo as he was no threat at all. Would have taken a point but on reflection should have beaten them they was that off pace.
