3-2 Stoke Sums us up perfectly And why we wont even finish in the top half of the table Poor Very very poor
From 2-0 up we’ve been pretty dreadful.. what a waste.. and don’t be fooled.. Stoke are not all that.. totally thrown 3 points away..
BINGO. That's what you get for playing in the nonsensical way you did today. They mugged you because you played like MUGS.
Ex City managers did well today though Johnson Juniors Fleetwood beat Orient and Gary O’Neil’s Wolves beat Man City !
What a **** show. 2-0 up and lose. I can’t even muster the humour to add an LJ comment. To lose like that to a team that is struggling is unacceptable.
Today I witnessed all of the reasons why we will never be contenders and what really ticks me off is that nobody seemed to care. You can only try and play like Barcelona if you actually are them and just because you went two up in the first 15 minutes doesn't mean you need to get smug. Is there nobody on the team that understands common sense football because based on what I saw today the answer has to be a solid no. We immediately went back to the same attitude as usual when we went 2-0 up and after that everything just simply vanished and only Stoke made any effort to grab the 3 points that were firmly in our grasp, until the slippage arrived right on schedule. Why are we so consistently questionable in our approach to the game and if the real suspect in creating this understands our concerns then he needs to take a long hard look in the mirror.
We are a 30 minute side.. switched off and then panicked. What a bloody shambles against imo a poor side.. fair play to Stoke, took advantage of our lack of concentration and dreadful defending.
Didn’t see the game, but to lose after being 2-0 up and cruising after 15 mins is the kind of performance we have to have moved away from. Our togetherness will be tested, hopefully this result be a defining moment in our season in a positive fashion, and the memory of it, and how much it hurts, will make sure we don’t do it again. The alternative just doesn’t bear thinking about.
The squad is thin though Without Conway in the starting 11 we’ve struggled at times for goals and obviously with Vyner out it has a knock effect at the back Having said that we ought to be able to adequately cover these absences
