i dont see why saints can't win this match, we have the quality and strength and bristol is a nice drive away from southampton (not too far and straight down the motorway) so the players should be fine with the journey. Yep, 3 - 0 to saints. lambert continues his fine scoring run.
2-0 to the Saints I reckon, think we had our minor blip with previous away games but found our form now. Chaps to score and Lallana is due a goal. COYR
As I said on the cross-board thread, I think we'll win this but I really wouldn't be surprised - or disappointed - if we didn't. For me, Coventry was all about the 3 points and nothing else. We should have always found 3 points highly achievable from that, and anything less would have been frustrating and disappointing. This is not the case tomorrow (of course a defeat though would be disappointing). Would be nice though if we don't fall behind inside the first 10 mins (ie Leicester & Derby), and also don't let them right back into the game at the start of the 2nd half if we've earnt ourself a nice HT lead (ie Ipswich & Coventry). Start both halves on top, not just one of them!
Referee is Chris Sarginson, another somewhat inconsistent official, he has good and bad days, wasn't too bad last November, I think it was the Peterborough home game.
Have you listened to Nigel's interview where he describes the fans as "intelligent and well educated". This was clearly everyone's first thought on mention of Homer! BTW, 3-2 Saints is my prediction.
Nigel plays us like a fiddle. All he has to say is "the fans were great" after a game and we all purr for a week.
Saints win, 1 -3. Got some seriously yappy Bristol City fans at work I'd like a little quieter next week. Guly, Chappers and Lambert (pen) to score with one from Adomah for them. Reckon Maynard will be quiet so that he doesn't hurt himself before moving to Saints in January
Agreed mate. How many threads do they need? They are trying to rub their form in our faces... and we have the best form in the league. I don't get it at all. Oh well, we'll see tomorrow
its only a honeymoon period, they're getting too carried away right now (4 games aint much tbf) EDIT: Why is this merged with the match thread?
They are euphoric after a few decent results. I suspect they are better than their position suggests, but Nigel will have that covered. He never underestimates anyone.
My pessimism catching? Yes, I also think a potential banana skin...but then we will still be top at the end of day. Hey, but reckon the Hammers have a toughie too....
Tbf, it was about tomorrow's match and wanting to beat them. In an ideal world, I'd also like to merge the other two threads as well - but as they were created on City's board, we have no power over that.
Will go for a 1-1 draw. A win would be great, but have a feeling that with their renewed confidence in themselves; City will be up for this one. Will be a tough game.
