instead of trying to have a stab ...which in this case you are wrong and missed, as YOU ANSWERED something that is not there made your statement which you can apply to anything …. should you care to read the sentence correctly …… where did I mention attacking? ...time to get your shovel out me thinks!
You try to portray an image of being intelligent but don't come across as such, you can bully others on this forum (I was specifically warned about you) but don't try it with me. It was not a stab it was my opinion reference your post, which I believe to be incorrect. My point about attacking was more about your comment about a loss would indicate that we are not much better than latter part of last season, which is nonsense we are better because we have a midfield that is competing and not being overrun, we are better because we create more, we are better because we ATTACK more, if we had lost today those facts would still hold true. I suspect pretty much everybody else understood what I was saying, everybody but you as usual, as I say you can bully or even make snide insensitive remarks about mental illness (something that went unchallenged) all you like but it will not affect me, I have faced down bigger bullies than you all of my life.
Mixed reaction to the thread on OwlsTalk: https://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/topic/292796-beaten-by-the-better-team/ Some say we were good, others we were poor but they were just worse. Also some mention of ‘5h1thousery’ (diving) by us and criticism of the referee
Good response Rp but all people are welcomed on here, jgf2 is a class act, contributes much and hopefully will continue to do so , Jiffie needs no help from anyone, in fact I agree with a lot he states about the world , great forum, great mix of people, long may it continue as long as no forum rules are broken.
tomorrow is the first yardstick on where we are ….. a defeat will indicate not much better than the latter part of last season … average side, capable of mid table. However a win will not say wow promo and top 2 [ or even 6 ] except that a win will take us on to NF where we must win / draw .. they have been excessively busy in last 10 days bringing in quite a few talented players and are due for a win or a point! lost 3!!!!! broken down … a defeat will indicate not much better than the latter part of last season … average side, capable of mid table …. [a statement / opinion] most on here will say it is the results that matter1 after all LEE was shown the door because he failed to deliver results ….. [ well he did show them actually L L L L L etc ] had we lost today how many would have said whoooooooppeeeeee better than end of last season NO ONE … [ a fact ] SO WE WON that's 3 wins and against slightly stronger opposition so far, and moves on to [ my 2nd sentence ] "However a win will not say wow promo and top 2 [ or even 6 ] except that a win will take us on to NF where we must win / draw" [ a statement of fact /opinion that to keep up the good work] …. this is followed up by a statement saying …. Florest having been very busy in past couple of weeks buying and loaning to strengthen their squad. [ qualifying their business dealings ] ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ now NF are on zero points have a load of new players and will not go down without a fight this is the strongest acid test [so far]. please [ have asked you for confirmation on a couple of other statements you have made in the past with no response from you ] confirm ….. "insensitive remarks about mental illness (something that went unchallenged" where, to whom, in what context /thread post, and I will address the matter.

Dean Holden encourages Bristol City fans to enjoy sitting top of Championship Dean Holden is happy for Bristol City fans to get as excited as they like about their team's impressive start to the season. But after seeing second-half goals from Tommy Rowe and Jamie Paterson take his side to the top of the Championship, the new head coach insisted feet would be staying firmly on the ground in the dressing room. Holden said: "It's three wins from three and, particularly with Covid-19 causing so much distress, I would not want to deprive our supporters of something to smile about. "But inside the club the feeling is only to focus fully on the next game. I have had managers call me already telling me to enjoy it and I will do that, without getting carried away in any sense. "The lads have taken on board what we want from them. Wednesday were the better side in the first half if I am honest, but we tweaked a few things at the break and the first goal changed the game. "Chris Martin showed his experience with the header down for the first goal and Tommy Rowe did well to get into a central position from wing-back to get on the end of it. "Jamie Paterson has been brilliant with both assists and goals since he returned from his loan spell last season and it was a great finish by him." Rowe latched onto Martin's perfectly guided header to fire City in front from close range on 59 minutes and midfielder Paterson sealed the points in injury time with a clinical low right-footed finish from 12 yards. It meant a first League defeat of the season for Wednesday as they battle a 12-point deduction for breaching financial rules. But they contributed plenty to a competitive clash and manager Garry Monk was far from downhearted. "We were the better side in the first half and created some good chances without being able to take them," he said. "When you do that in a game, you know that good teams are going to come back at you at some stage. "We knew it was going to be a tight match against opponents in good form and had we scored when on top it might have been a different story. "But we couldn't quite get our noses in front and you need things to go right for you in front of goal. "Now it is all about how we react to our first defeat and we must do so positively. "A lot of things were wrong last season and one of them was that we didn't respond well to setbacks. "Anyone who watches us can see that we are playing better football. But we have to become consistent." https://www.sportsmole.co.uk/footba...enjoy-sitting-top-of-championship_416165.html
"(I was specifically warned about you)"............. JGF2 - are you serious? He provides more entertainment than the football on here.
It's hard to claim that we've been outstanding but 3 wins from 3 isn't a fluke. If we can get another one against Forest then things will start to look pretty exciting for the season to come...
Great start, positive tactics, good substitutions, great communication, 40 plus games to go, couldn't ask for more our local Bristol rivals must be seething.
Agree, but a solid base to build from and consecutive clean sheets in the league. Forest will be tough, as already stated on here, they will not be happy with their start, and will want to put that right ASAP. If we can avoid losing going into the international break, then we have had a great start. Unlike Rovers and Cardiff for that matter seeing as OS has popped on to this thread..
Not in a footballing context Supcon - just couldn't resist as one of your posters seems to think JGF2 is "dangerous".....
As someone who disagrees with JGF multiple times per day, and is probably printed on a dartboard covered in puncture holes somewhere in his house, I have to admit he's alright .
