6 points and 2 clean sheets from our final 2 games to end the year. Up to 9th and only 4 points off the Play-off picture. No improvements to be seen here though…. Edit- 10th, as the Jacks scored in the 96th minute…
Damn it. A win. That will mean LM stays. As if that wasn’t annoying enough, Mehmeti gets TWO goals. FFS that will mean he will start the next game. I’ve had it with this team.
Play more like the first half then no issues at all. But most of the times it’s too slow and predictable, that’s why most people get fed up.
I know we played a very poor team today but we didn't slip on the banana skin. Two fine goals from Anis was nice to see and the smile on his face was worth the price of admission but his second half finishing was off the target on two can't miss finishes but he was good. Getting 2 home wins on the trot was sorely needed and we have to finish off Plymouth on New Year's Day to seal a great holiday campaign. There are still a lot of teams that could be in contention, including Bristol City, and that is just what we need going into the second half of the season because it could mean that the team that really gets going over the next couple of months could well pull off an unexpected challenge. MOM Anis Mehmeti, and I never thought I would ever get to say that about him.
To be fair managed to watch from 58 minutes-we was 3-0 up first half-second half was powder puff. If he can sort his striker situation jan we could make a run for the playoffs but he needs to sort that front end out. Great six points from the last two games. Just a shame those two strikers have not worked out.

Think it says a lot about the two strikers we bought in the summer when Sam Bell comes on the past two games playing as the centre forward, which tbf is his natural position I think.
Anis missed 2 sitters, and there keeper made 2 big saves second half. We could, should have had more in the first half as well.
We did take the foot of the gas second half for sure, which is disappointing, but given we have another game in 3 days time, it’s to be expected. We didn’t concede as a result, so I can live with that.
Good result today, well done all Sorry to bring a slice of reality to the thread but beating Portsmouth, although great, counts for nothing when we are still so inconsistent at other times I still think there are more than 6 better teams in this division than us But maybe with some further signings over the next couple of windows, and if we can address the thumpingd we’ve already had this season, we might be a force to be reckoned with in the next couple of seasons
We’re capable of good results, our problem is consistency. That hasn’t changed today. We need to start stringing together a series of wins.
When ever he predicts on the match day thread it’s the opposite. So let him carry being negative. Go back through all of them this season and you will see.
