I had a funny feeling this would be a banana skin.
Apart from the last 20 minutes of the first half we were totally outplayed.
Pompey fully deserved the 3 points.
WTF was Knight doing???!!!!! 2 of their goals we might as well have scored for them.
    Bad day at the office.
We can’t cope with being favourites.

I had a bad feeling about this game and so I decided to stay in bed and watch it later, but now I probably won't bother after seeing the score and the comments. Bristtol City have been wandering and totally lost in the footballing wilderness for decades and as far as to what they want to be now and in the future is lost on all of us. Marlon Pack was really up for this one and his comments about Portsmouth taking a leaf from us now looks a bit of a joke as they were the ones giving out the lessons and we as usual failed to learn a single thing. Looking back as I tend to do doesn't give me any comfort with the sad way we approach running a football club without a hope of ever achieving any kind of success. Same old rhetoric produces the same old frustrations and they eventually they lead to bad results particularly when we see a mere glimpse of moving on up the table only to have the dreamy thoughts crushed right in front of our noses. :headbang:

Turned off at 2-0 down we were never going to win that game.
Manning and his players need to sort that **** show out.
Bottom of the league made us look piss poor.
    Played far better under Hogg.
Every fan the braved that weather deserve a refund as the team did not turn up.

There are many times when I question the lack of comments by our owner rather than the lackies who seem to do most of the nonsense talking. A nodding dog anywhere in our management set-up is not needed as it not only creates friction but also leads to very poor decisions, both on the field and in the boardroom, which we should know are our biggest areas of concern and have been for quite some time now. I have looked far and wide but as yet I can see no sign of the improvement we have been promised every season since the Ark set sail. How totally sad and expected from this lot. :steam:

and me thought there was a big difference today not just the wind in first half but they seemed to have the middle of the pitch and our half well and truly mastered ... especially from goal kicks had to reboot Fawa 3 times but was working fine on the 3rd goal switched it off before we started the game ......... maybe 5 secs after!

Watched the highlights, such as they were

It seemed to be virtually all Portsmouth

Our defending was absolutely bloody criminal and they could have had more than 3 goals

I’m wondering whether our recent good run was all down to the players supporting LM after the sad passing of his baby

We certainly didn’t look interested at all yesterday

The result had nothing to do with conditions.
    They wanted it.
The attitude from our gutless prima donnas was predictable.
    Shameful.

True under Hogg we played some good stuff, now we are reverting back to type. Not the first team we’ve been made to look poor by a team at the bottom.

Don’t know why we keep playing out from the back though, that’s what our head coach wants, we are just a mid-table team, set up for another exciting mid-table finish.

I wondered if our players had had their Xmas piss up on Friday night. Maybe that explains it?

Maybe they believed their own hype. If you turn up expecting to win, you’re in for a fall. I feel for the fans, they had a terrible time getting there and back due to the weather, only to be treated to a heartless performance by the players. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Let’s not get too carried away here. Yes, it was an abysmal day at the office, but there are some mitgating factors, we have a horrible injury list which is seeing some players played out of position, and others playing 90 mins, 2-3 times a week as there are no rotation options.
We all know Vyner is not a RB, but has had to play the last few games there, whats more of a revelation, and worry is, Dickie cannot play RCB, he's been terrible. The sooner we get either Tanner or McCrorie back, and put Vyner and Dickie back at CB, we will be better off.
The going forward piece still bothers me greatly, playing 1 up top means someone either has to run the channels for them, or get in the box when the striker runs the channels. We don’t do that, nobody fills in for Wells or Armstrong when they run wide. One (or more) of Knight, Bird or McGuane/Twine/Williams need to be busting a gut to be in the box, six yard box for any balls in, that rarely, if ever happens, which makes us predictable and easy to defend against.

Supcon...... there was ONE mitigating factor against Pompey.
    They wanted it, we didn't.

Their injury/availability of players was far worse than ours and ffs even with all players fit fit they were bottom of the table.
That performance was almost identical to PNE last season, Blackburn and Derby this.

We're bubblegum when it gets difficult.
