Really enjoyed that game. We were so fast in our passing. Good luck picking the 11 for Sunday Dean, all the players proved their worth tonight.
Yes it's Northampton. Oleary had nothing to do. Vyner just improves every game, made his customary big mistake but got away with it. Mawson absolute quality. Moore didn't put a foot wrong. Sesssegnon kept going and looks a talent. Nagy looks fit and up for it, played well. Bakinson strong, assured passes well, quality again. Palmer absolutely unplayable in the 2nd half, 2 goals and an assist. Eliasson 2 great crosses and always a threat, not a wing back IMHO. Martin quality, it's great to see the ball being held up and not coming straight back like it normally does, great football brain. Semyeno looks up for it this season, a real handful, great energy. Brunt another quality signing, just looks so cool another great football brain, quality delivery.
Let's not forget that over the last few years we have put in some pretty boring and dismal performances but tonight seems to have brought change to our team. Very positive comments all around is something we had forgotten on this board - so well done guys from across the pond.
Great result - but against lower league opponents. I’m not trying to be negative - I’m really not, but a few years ago we beat Man U and gave Man C a good game. I’m smiling at the result but not ecstatic.
They beat Cardiff 3-0’last round. Great display by whole team. special mention to Martin-Palmer-Semenyo-Mawson.
Yep, great memories and then it all turned to rat poop, in the last 2 seasons we went out at the first hurdle, once to a 2nd division side, so it's double the progress. It was good to see Vyner, Moore, Bakinson, Palmer and Semyeno playing with the shackles off, as if they realised that they have a future at BCFC and not away from the club. It was good to see the quality and leaders like Martin, Brunt and Mawson, something the previous coach talked about but never addressed.
Antoine is doing what I had hoped he done last season. I thought and mentioned then that I thought there is something about him. Great energy and hopefully more to come from him. Nagy when playing like he did tonight gives players like Palmer and Semenyo room to play.
Did anyone watch the game on BCTV? I was travelling back from Germany, so I missed it. How did Palmer do, obviously the 2 goals, but more generally, did he look up for it? Also what about Bakinson in midfield, how did he do? A much bigger test this coming Saturday, perhaps our first real measure of how we're doing under DH.
That's a great result for us and well done to dean and the players..........Stoke will be a decent test to see where we are
Bakinson was really impressive, came off for Brunt. Palmer was excellent last night, bit deep first half but second half more forward and linked up with Semenyo really well. Mawson based on last night’s performance, if that continues we will be hoping to sign him come next year. Fantastic bringing the ball out of defence. Won’t be the same team on Sunday, and that won’t be like a LJ selection guess who. Players will need resting with Vile-er mid week and Sheff Wednesday next week end. So will be a lot of rotating.
If anything last night proved keep our midfield for specialist midfielders and not shoe horn in a guy who has a good engine and runs around a lot. Taking Bakinson off probably shows that he will play in place of Massengo, it's whether Holden will replace Weimann with maybe Nagy (a specialist midfielder).
Got it now! I thought you had been on RedRobin's pills for a moment!! My typo on it being Saturday, and not Sunday as it actually is
