we’ve gone backwards because Mr Ashton and the Lansdowns thought it was a smart idea to hire Holden after sacking LJ. Common sense would tell everyone that to progress after LJ would be to hire someone who is not Holden. So blaming Pearson for our current situation is again “Hilarious”. Although I would agree I did expect slightly better performances than we have been subject to but hey ho.
I think we all expected better performances, sadly far too many in this squad are not interested, for the past 3 years they have played when it suits and hidden when it suits and the hiding periods are usually longer. On Wednesday night Sessegnon, Nagy, Wells and of course Diedhiou were all hiding.
Who ever was responsible for not bringing a few quality players that was required to progress which included minimum, a creative midfield cover at the back and a leader on the pitch............................for the 100th time!!
Must have been terrible as a coach............now if I remember at the time, he was the longest serving coach in the championship at the time of his departure......says to me, for a club renowned for yo yoing between League 1............he did ok..
For the record, I've never blamed Pearson for anything....but like you say.........I expected better performances, with his experience and so say leadership skills...
Are we saying the players are so bad, with no interest................and NP hasn't managed to motivate them? Just asking
Dead right, he kept us trapped as a 2nd tier club for 4.5 years because he was incapable of achieving his target, his progress 1 place up a year, snails pace, consequently the boot for failure.
And equally for the 100th time, we know exactly who that was, LJ and Ashton and Holden and Ashton and how do we know?, because all 3 of them have publicly said so, they all said that LJ and Holden had the final say. Thanks for clearing it all up.
Again had you been watching you would see that Diedhiou has not bothered since the end of January and Nagy since he came back from the last international break. Explain how to motivate players that don't care/lost interest? just asking.
Final say to whom is the question...............what was there to choose from, you need to ask yourself.......he may have chosen a player out of two choices given...but yes, he would have had the final say
That is what NP or any other manager is paid to do....that's his job.....that's why LJ & Deano was fired........are we saying that NP is no better?
I've suggested it before, any manager that signed 65 players, had the biggesst financial backing that any City manager ever had, how could they not survive in the Championship.
Because that was spread over 4 years......more years than most managers are hired for......silly argument really Wiz
You are the one that keeps championing his duration in the Championship, he had continuing financial support spread over 4 plus years, he still failed and got the boot for it, I agree it's a silly argument, he should have gone long before, Ashton and Lansdown stupidity.
There you go then, LJ and Holden had the final say end of discussion, LJ in particular could have walked at anytime had he not agreed with the transfer policy, had he gone at the end of the 2017/2018 season when the true colours of our lack of ambition was laid bare during the January window when we were flying and still in the top 3, even though we only managed 4 wins in our last 21 games, he would still have gotten a job easily. You can put all of the emoji's that you on your posts you like, it doesn't take away from the evidence that this is a poor quality squad, that has gotten worse by the game. What I will concede is 2 things, firstly our injury crisis has been unprecedented but once more it really looks as though the answer to that might be in house and secondly with 14 players out of contract and several fearing the worst, that 'might' be a factor, but I would have thought fighting for a new contract or a new club should be all of the motivation needed. The irony is the overwhelming support on social media is with Pearson and not the players and also with the 14 out of contract players the vast majority are saying only Walsh and Wiemann should be offered contracts.
For maintaining our championship status.......failed by all previous managers.........the stupidity of it all....dam right shocking!!
Again what are you expecting that he can actually do? threaten them with physical violence?, really I am interested, if these players aren't interested for whatever reason or because perhaps even one or two have already signed pre contracts for new clubs, I am fascinated to know exactly what you think Pearson, Pep, Fergie or Jesus himself could do to make them play.
