Don’t get me wrong, I really don’t care about this cup..but that is shocking.. but I was told 2 weeks ago that our position in the league at the time wasn’t false
A loss against Watford on the weekend is certainly on the cards after a shocker like tonight. I can't believe that Nigel is not capable of producing better than these shocking performances week in and week out. Have the players lost the plot or is it seated deeper in the organization? Will we be sitting on the cusp after the World Cup finishes at the end of the year and if that should be so then what action will be taken? Probably nothing will happen in January, and we will struggle against the tide for the remainder of the season and rebuild in the summer. Heard it all before, and look where we are based on promises.
Think it was right to rest players and try out youngsters, that doesn’t excuse how poor we were tonight though. I’m not bothered about the cup, but tonight was shocking. We need a good result Saturday & we need to start winning games.
Does anyone think that Lansdown has had a word where he told Nigel that the performances are not what he expected? They certainly aren't what I expected from a seasoned manager who has a good history in the game but apparently fallen off the perch when it comes to making us a better team. We have a good bunch of players but the attitudes of late have left me seriously disappointed and the results only highlight those misgivings. Are we a perennial set of losers who live up to the overall view of us as country bumpkins and never set our sights higher than mediocrity? Shame on us.
What excuse shall we use tonight, injuries, tiredness, giving the senior squad a rest, illness, square pegs in round holes, academy youngsters, the toothe fairey, crap officials, blah, de blah, de blah......absolute crap.....
At least Blackpool and Wigan play on Saturday so we won’t be bottom three going into the WC break. Edit yes we can
