James I would want to keep on reduced wages if possible.
Unless they can find better which is going to cost big time.

 

I presumed Bird is supposed to be his replacement, personally I would like James to be given a contract extension for next season

 

I see Bird as the James replacement, and to make RR happy Bird was wanted by Nige.

 

Crossing a ball into a crowded box is statistically the most ineffectual means of chance creation. It becomes even more ineffectual without talent to A deliver the ball to a very high level, and B talent with a very high skill level to head A. Skills that for a plan B cost resources. BCFC went down the path of plans A,B,C or clubs in th bag B.C etc and wasted millions.

At this point in Bristol City's development the team does not have a formed plan A. The teams football is still being formed. Hence the teams play can at times be laborious and lacking in conviction and intensity. BCFC are not a well honed slick passing outfit, yet, wide improvement can be made to approach play and the patterns the team uses that provide more answers to the challenges opponents set.

A team dropping off is a challenge. All teams can be moved around even the best ones BCFC at the zenith of the game City are not playing.

 

I don’t know anything about Bird, but James’ experience will be a massive miss, any squad needs balance, experience and youth James experience is essential imo.
