Moore never came across as the sharpest tool in his interviews but it’s easy as fans on the touch line to say he shouldn’t play Gayle on the left etc. We don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes, what fluidity they’re expecting from their front 3... whether it’s to target perceived weakness in the opposition. i’m Sure Moore knows where gayles best position is... and he must have outsmarted the genius when they ripped us apart at their gaff.

Maybe, West Brom’s playing staff aren’t quite what they’re cracked up to be.. just because they have names we’ve heard of.

I genuinely don’t know, because I’m not in the dressing room and neither are most of the pundits who are paid to have an opinion not necessarily to have insight.

They dont defend well and dont seem suited to champ football.

Yet another Jekyll & Hyde performance from Leeds against a poor niggly side who were all huff & puff going forward with a dodgy back four & a rookie keeper, for all our play we hardly worked their goalie as the majority of our shots didn't hit the target.
Should have been coasting the game at least 0-3 at half-time, Harrison the main culprit. Losing Bamford disrupted the pattern/rhythm of our play, in the end we resorted to their level with hoof football, plenty of head tennis & passes going astray. The stats prove my point with our possession rate dropping from over 70% in the first-half down to 53% by the final whistle. I suspect Marcelo would be fuming with that aspect of our game as he certainly doesn't advocate that style of play

    Positives

    Early well worked goal
We started well & played some lovely football creating goal-scoring chances in the first-half.
Another deserved clean sheet for Casilla & his defence
Bamford sharpness in front of goal
Phillips, it is no coincidence since Kalvin returned we are winning again (should have played v Norwich).
Jansson & Cooper solid CB partnership
Ayling's best game in a while, pleased for Luke
Alioski's crossfield pass in the build-up for our goal
Good to see Berardi back fit again
    Atmosphere

    Negatives

Bamford injury, no replacement with Roofe out. Roberts isn't a No.9
Phillips injury, looked gone for a period in the first-half, lose our academy jewel & we could have serious problems
    Squandered far too many chances
Resorted to hoof football in the final 30 minutes
Midfield poor in 2nd half, no composure when needed

    Ratings

    7 Casilla
    8 Ayling
    8 Jansson
    8 Cooper
    7 Alioski
    9 Phillips (MOTM)
    6 Hernandez
    6 Klich
    6 Roberts
    7 Harrison
    7 Bamford
    Subs
    6 Dallas
    6 Douglas
    n/a Berardi

Wouldn’t dispute that, though they weren’t suited to Prem football last year either.

you’d expect an ex defender to be able to organise a defence but it doesn’t always pan out that way... and Sides that score a lot are often leaky from both style of play and personnel.

They never convinced me this season when I saw them though... except against us at their gaff obviously.

Just text my mate who's a baggie, asked who he thinks will get the job, or who he'd want. He said before the game yesterday folk were saying it was going to be Moore's last game regardless and Sam Allardyce was going to replace him. He didn't expect either but the first part as come true. He really doesn't want the second part to.

maybe not, but their holidays are coming up, they won't want to get seriously injured in a meaningless game, and their individual futures wont be judged on one game

    Shame really.<laugh>

Joking aside, can you imagine what the EFL would do to us if that was done by a Leeds fan at ER.

I know, can't really punish the club because of one idiot. Might need to look at their stewarding though.

Maybe close the stand he came from one game or Season ticket holders only, but in the main it's up to the courts to send him prison, that's the best deterrent.

I'd go with locking him up. Not the fault of the other fans, with the exception that I was disappointed to hear them cheer when Grealish first got hit.

Not so long ago since it happened to us at Hillsborough actually. What was our punishment, it will be relevant here.
