What a situation to be in !
Relying on teams getting 12 points deductions to save our skin when we where 1 point off the play offs is sad .

Looks like the team that just keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger will probably get slapped wrists.
As for Wigan. They'll be safe even after 12 point deduction. Charlton will probably be their toughest game.

Just listened to post match interview with burnsey.....Jesus grant is deluded! And the final point on the fact we didn't sign the French lad because he failed his medical and we want robust players only and then goes on the basically say toral comes off at half time because he can't play 2 games in a week was just embarrassing!

Grant, do the honourable thing and admit your just not good enough and walk away

Who said "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results" When he does change personnel he takes off Toral who is a forward-thinking player and puts of a defensive one when we are behind. He is definitely insane.

He is out of his depth in the Championship, maybe okay in the lower divisions when his tactics defensively don't get punished as much, but in a higher division you need a solid defence as your bedrock, he fails to understand this.

However, Ehab will stick with him as we are almost certainly going to be in Div 1 next season and he may well do okay there. I just hope it doesn't take 14 years to get back.

Last nights defeat is down to the manager.
I still think we will stay up by beating Millwall & Luton.

“in danger of dropping down to the third division for the first time in 15 years”

how depressing is that when you’re nursing a hangover

McCann should just **** off. When he thinks he’s ****ed off enough, then he should **** off some more.

Er, McCann didn't sign Toral and Toral will presumably leave at the end of the season partly because he isn't robust enough.

As good as Toral is (we appear immensely better when he plays imo), I don't see how any of us could justify giving him another contract if it was our own money being used.

    And if it's a draw?

Actually when you look at Wigans remaining fixtures it adds some real intrigue.Away at Barnsley,Home to us,Away at Charlton....Wigan can define the futures of 3 of the bottom Clubs and in turn,3 of the bottom Clubs can decide on Wigans future? You couldn't have made those fixtures up in terms of season defining fixtures. You are right, the Wigan game, for us is massive!! 'But' I'm hoping that we can miraculously pull something out of the bag on Saturday which won't be easy if our defence doesn't get its ****ing act together...

-> but in a higher division you need a solid defence as your bedrock,

To be fair, if you want to win you need a solid defence at any level, even in local football ... unless you are so good attacking that you just know you are going to score more than the opposition - that certainly isn't the case for us.
I think it's a combination of issues with us. The players not being good enough, along with McCann and Byrne. A better coaching team would likely get that bit (or lot) extra out of what we do have. And it's not just in defence. We are shockingly poor up front.

He still chose to start him knowing full well he most likely wouldn't last anywhere near the full game. He made himself look even more clueless and stupid with his post match comments

Millwall at home is more massiver for us.
Results could very well go against us this weekend and if so, a gap will develop between us and 4th bottom.
Hudds beat Luton tomorrow; Charlton beat Reading??; Barnsley lose to Wigan; Boro beat Bristol City.

Wigan could almost relegate us next Tuesday.

    This.

Pretty sure the majority on here have played competitive football at some time.
If so, you always knew which refs were fussy ****ers, whistle happy, yellow cards etc and those that had banter, allowed the game to flow etc.
Probably one of the most lame excuses to blame a defeat on the ref, especially at professional level.
Free kicks conceded in dangerous areas .... if all us amateurs are aware of the possible consequences, why the **** aren't the professionals.

Jordy and Stewart give away far too many free kicks in dangerous areas.
