Why oh why do we seem to have an aversion to shooting, Twine and Roberts had a chance to shoot and didn’t, and when we did it was a feeble effort from McCrorie.
Strange in it-I thought we played very well first half and deserve the lead-my first half prediction of 1-0 has come true. Now for my second half us scoring one more to win 2-0.
For me the first half was just O.K. and McNally's goal was right off the highlight reel. Derby probably will up their game after the break and we need to be on the ball to keep them at bay and the next goal is vital for the outcome. I just hope Mehmeti keeps his protests at the referee down because he is always a bit confrontational and his mouth could get him sent off if he's not careful. Wasted opportunities are a major source of problems and it almost seems that some of them are afraid to shoot on sight but if you get it into the box anything might happen.
I feel sorry for Wells, he only ever has scraps to feed off. We are too predictable in midfield, for me, Bird and Knight are far too similar, and it means we lack real creativity from our midfield. Twine flatters to deceive for me as well.
It’s been a poor showing in the second half so far. I’m worried we don’t have a plan B, every game the subs are the same, Wells (or whoever is up front) comes off, as does a wide player, but never Bird, Knight or Twine to go 2 up top, or some other formation or tactical change. It’s just so predictable.
Poor game but 3 points which all that matters.. Well done Liam & the boys.. at least we didn’t give it away in the last few mins
True; however, our inability to really finish off poor sides such as Derby & Plymouth is why we won’t be top 6. Our GD is 8 worse than WBA, that’s pretty much another point. We will struggle to beat the better sides in this division as we cannot put teams away. 3 big league games this month, Cov & Sheff Weds away and Blackburn at home. That will determine whether we’re really going to challenge for the playoffs-off’s.
