They’re good at **** housiery as well. We are improving though, these top sides aren’t that much better than us.
On a dismal day we put in a dismal performance and got the result we deserved. An early goal by Mehmeti could have lifted our sprits but he missed what could have been a key moment in this game. All of these kinds of performances tell me we are yet again a mid-table team at best as our play is poor at times and worse at some other times and our scoring potential has all but dried up. Onwards and my 4:00 wake up was wasted.
dont know if it is the weather or just a bad day.switched off before halftime back on at 60 mins or so and switched off before the end ..just didnt have any interest ... did the vaccuuming .. didnt miss any goals but dissapointed
They definitely did until our 3 subs came on.......the last half hour was a different game. Burnley showed in the last half hour how good they were with gamesmanship and managing the game out........even their keeper gets the cramp......unbelievable.
I agree but we could be still playing and not score, still not creating enough or having a dig at goal to trouble them
Didn’t see the game - in Cardiff today for a Christmassy day out (in the rain) with the Mrs. From what I’ve read it seems Burnley are very good at shutting up shop. We probably would have scored against most teams outside the top 6 but they were brilliant at keeping us out. Added to that a strong penalty shout it simply wasn’t our day.
If Yu, Anis and Armstrong (header) had scored presentable chances it could have been different, still concerned where the goals will come from
It certainly wasn't. These are the types of opponents we need to beat consistently if we are ever to get anywhere on the road to success, but we have been stuck in neutral for years.
With the squad we have in my opinion we will never be anything than also rams We had a decent run recently but I think it’s the best we’ll see this season There are too many other teams in this division just like us No better, no worse, just the same
I know what you're saying, however Burnley are ex Prem, today could have been different after we led a bit of charmed life just after half time. Yu 1 on 1 with their keeper and a definite penalty not given would have swung the momentum our way. I suppose it's all if your Granny.....
Balances out the Yu handball for his goal a couple of weeks ago. I dint think we should be too disappointed or surprised at losing today or to the Blades a couple of weeks ago. They are ex premier teams with massive playing budgets compared to City. They didn't blow us away and we are getting closer to them
A third of the way through the season, and we have the same number of points & same goal difference as we had this time last season. A lack of progress that is surprising to you?
Had a look at the posts reference today’s game. 1-Burnley were far the better side first half 2-City were the better side second half. 3-Defiantly a penalty and the whole ground could see that-I was directly in line with it in the Lansdown stand and the linesman was directly in line with the player- unbelievable mistake by the officials. 4- we are powderpuff up front-when Burnley attacked they looked dangerous in 90% off those going forward-us we don’t have the same edge-Armstrong and Fally on current form are not going to get us goals for a top six finish.Think we need to look at the market in January and get a decent goalscoring number 9. 5- Results against the sides above us - Blackburn 3-city 0 Millwall 3-city 4 Watford not played Tuesday night West Brom not played yet Boro 0 -city 2 Leeds 0 -city 0 Burnley 1-city 0 Sheffield Utd 2-city 1 Sunderland not played Three losses Two wins Three not played We need to beat two of these three sides above us to make it a decent first half of the season. Just think where we would be if we had decent strikers up front. There keeper never had to make one decent save against us today. LM needs to sort this it is costing us big time.
I thought your post with the title “Get signing” was going to be an article about our need for a striker in January, so was a bit disappointed when it wasn’t.
