The reports of violence against some Blackburn supporters makes me sick as I just will never understand the need for thuggery at all yet alone after a football game. I hope that all those who witnessed the violence took lots of pics to get those responsible brought to justice for their needless acts. These idiotic and senseless acts of violence have to be eliminated and hard justice is what might stop this kind of thing happening, especially at Ashton Gate. <steam>

Not an easy question to answer.
We dominated and had the better of the game, but as always we failed to put the game to bed.
We should have been 3-0 up at half time but weren’t.
Second half they could have gone ahead - Max nearly gifted them an open goal but luckily their lad blasted it over from about 10 yards. A big let-off.
After that - and when Wells came on - we started to reassert ourselves and it paid off.
Wells’s goal wasn’t lucky though- it was well worked.
IMHO we made it difficult for ourselves.
I’ll take the win though - and 3 points off the playoffs…

The top 4 are some way better than the rest in the League. Likewise the bottom 5 or 6 are pretty poor. The rest are pretty much similar and it’s just a case of who can manage to accumulate enough points over the season, the magical “consistency”. Like you I think we’ll miss out and finish mid table as always, but hopefully we’ll at least stay in touch for a while longer.

Spot on and even in the unlikely event we finish in the top 6 we won’t get past a semi final
Now West Brom have Tony Mowbray back I can see them cementing a place in the top 6

Wouldn’t say we dominated, our passing out from the back was atrocious, almost gave them a goal through messing about at the back, we are not Man City for Christ sake, first half was not an enjoyable watch, thankfully Blackburn weren’t any better than us, still a welcome 3 points!

Your first game for a while, same for a friend I spoke to this morning.
Summed it up pretty much like you and Frank.
What was your 'live' assessment of my mate Mehmeti........it can't be as bad my mate's assessment.

His style of football is so passive, it’s dull and boring but somehow we sit in 8th place.

The first half was awful, the only thing worthwhile was Twine’s free kick.

It’s easy to predict what happens, always 60th minute changes and they are always like for like.

Obviously they can’t do it consistently for 90 minutes but we are so much better and harder to cope with playing fast and at pace.

Yet again we got the least number of minutes of airtime of any of the championship games highlights
Presumably because there weren’t many ?

I hardly noticed he was on the pitch to be honest. He hardly got involved. Manning had him positioned wide right.
He’s had poor games the last 3 matches.

Weird isn’t it, he had a run of games prior to that where he was almost unplayable.

Anis should have scored first half, however the service our front three, especially Anis got was so poor,
