Bristol City must change approach to land potential Josh Brownhill replacement after £1.2m valuation: Opinion https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/b...ill-replacement-after-1-2m-valuation-opinion/
Josh had a good match for Burnley tonight and he is sorely missed by us and each game highlights our weaknesses. I know very little about this guy and he hasn't crossed my radar at anytime during the last few years, and so I ask what has someone seen in him to make him a target now? Has Barnsley suddenly become a breeding ground for super stars or is this guy a diamond in the rough? We have had a history of signing players from lesser clubs that don't hit the national headlines and generally they haven't had what I would call spectacular results. Come on statisticians prove me wrong.
I saw a stat on a game last week on Sky that showed he has the most interceptions by any player in the PL this season! It also showed Luke Ayling as having the second most completed passes by any player this season! what we’d give to have those 2 back right now....
Yes we miss him, but he was still part of a failing midfield, a midfield that had the same problem as we have now. We can look very pretty getting in and around the opponents box and then more often than not, we run out of ideas and far too often the ball ends up back at the feet of Bentley, all action is good but is a waste of time and money without creativity. It was evident against Portsmouth, we created next to nothing around the opponents box and had to rely 2 wonder strikes.
Well let's put it this way, he looks far better than anything that we already have in this position and I like the way his first thought having won the ball is to try to move it forward, he seems to the player that we hoped that Williams would be, but that ship may have already sailed. 1.2 mil no brainer, but we still need creativity to go with it, but it maybe a start.
Exclusive: Bristol City, Middlesbrough & Cardiff City race to sign Aston Villa ace https://www.footballinsider247.com/...gh-cardiff-city-race-to-sign-aston-villa-ace/
I'm afraid when I see other clubs mentioned in a 'race' to sign a player, my heart sinks. We rarely seem to beat other clubs when it comes to signings. I expect he'd go to Warnock - simply because of NWs pedigree.
‘I don’t particularly see the logic here’ – Bristol City eye transfer move for Aston Villa player: The verdict https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/a...sfer-move-for-aston-villa-player-the-verdict/
Birmingham, Bristol City enter transfer race for Championship midfielder https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/b...er-transfer-race-for-championship-midfielder/ Bristol City ‘It’s evident he has ability’ – Bristol City monitoring Championship man: The verdict https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/i...city-monitoring-championship-man-the-verdict/
we need to get him signed up prone to injury so less work for us to add him to the injured list ………….
Why do City continue to look at players that come with some baggage and seem to have run afoul of their current employer? Players that have fallen down the pecking order often have attitude problems and, as our history has proven, don't come up with the goods, but on the other hand any of them who look like they could fit the bill end up moving on in pretty quick fashion. Perhaps the culture of mediocrity and lack of ambition turns off any player who genuinely wants to better themselves and that has been the case in so many of our club's transfer dealings over the last 10 years.
Has there been any updates in Famara Diedhiou’s situation at Bristol City amid previous Middlesbrough links? https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/h...istol-city-amid-previous-middlesbrough-links/
Fammy getting closer to signing a deal, " i ' s & t's " possibly! Was hoping maybe a prem team might come knocking?
I read that from Holden and 48 hours later Holden then said that he may have to leave during the window, as usual as clear as the mud on Elland Road on Sunday.
Swansea have made a big statement of intent, they have signed Conor Hourihan from Villa until the end of the season. Would have loved to have seen him with us.
Agree, he will add another layer of quality to that side. That's the sort of statement signing that says we're going for it, signing Chris Brunt, isn't...!
Famara Diedhiou details emerge as Bristol City, Middlesbrough transfer saga continues https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/f...l-city-middlesbrough-transfer-saga-continues/
There's a Dean Holden quiz in that article Wiz - I did it and got an amazing 13 out of 18, considering I guessed on all but one of the answers!!!!!.
