Bristol City Fresh transfer interest emerges in Bristol City player as deadline edges closer https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/f...bristol-city-player-as-deadline-edges-closer/
I would be interested in the voracity of this article, not for the first time it seems to be at odds with Ashton's interview, where he stated the club would rather let him run his contract down than sell him, as he is more valuable to us for his goals than a small fee is and we surely need to replace him?
Tomorrow's press exclusive to get us all excited: Bristol City are rumoured to be chasing Messi's signature, along with a handful of other clubs............ Yawn - we won't sign anyone. This is it boys - fasten your belts - it's going to be a tough ride...........

Old Warnock just loves our players, old & current!! They had a good result with Rotherham the other night!!
This would be a great signing, part of the team that took us apart in the Carabao cup earlier this season, looked a right handful.
Pyramids FC of Egypt Is that the best he can attract. This is gold, as MA and DH should be saying to his agent, stop being a Kn0b, get your player to sign, or we will sell him to the Egyptians....
Is this going to be yet another season where the transfer window bus doesn't stop in Bristol? Selling our leading goal scorer to an Egyptian outfit and then signing a player who has had at least 47 minutes in the Premiership backed up with a stellar career at Biggleswade must surely be a joke. Does Fammy really have that many people acting on his behalf or is it the usual ploy to get more money, and if it is the latter then tell him he's on his way to play football on some sub-standard team in the Sahara. Starting to sound a lot like NM, and look where that got the moaning minny.
Do you honestly believe he gives an actual f***, kissing our badge today and another badge tomorrow (wherever that might be) he'll go to whoever makes him the best offer, he is running his contract down because he knows if he moves on for nowt, the more the club has to offer him for his salary and if that ends up to be Egypt, China or Timbuktu he will not give a crap. As for the Villa guy he made 18 premiership appearances last season, 16 more than Kalas made in his whole Chelsea career and when we signed him he was their longest serving player. Davis also has 29 championship appearances under his belt, he is only 22 years old a year younger than Cameron Pring who we are told is a big talent and a year younger than Vyner who has only just broken through into our first team. The way he played against us in the Carabao cup, I would give him a chance and I might have even said as much in the match thread.

You do realise that we are in a pandemic don’t you? Take a look at all the clubs in EFL and Premier league and see how many transfers have gone through involving money. You refer to NM, what did he do that any other player would not do? He was only trying to get a better deal for him and his family, like most of us would do. Footballers very rarely play for clubs that they are fans with. I don’t get that you refer to him all the time. He could of saw his contract out, but he said that he wants to move on and done it so we got a fee for him. The only thing I would say he done wrong was the comment about his child with a Bristolian accent. He didn’t refuse to play like others have done, and still tried his best on the field. Fammy is only in the starting line up these past few games. Before that rightly or wrongly he was back up to Martin and Wells. Do you honestly believe he is thinking stay with City to be a back up or go somewhere else and be the main starter. He’s from another country so had probably not even heard of us before we signed him. As Jiffie says footballers will kiss the badge one day and the next another club. It’s their livelihood at the end of the day and want to get the best in a very short career.
