It was indeed a great season - and I loved it.
    It was LEAGUE ONE though.
The Championship is a very different animal.

It seems that’s the only level where we can have any sort of success unfortunately

And R&Ws specialist subject for Mastermind.....Is stating the bleeding obvious.

That Season was filled with positivity and the last time our fan base was together.
R&Ws post tries to carry on disunity.

    R&W....get over it, it's Christmas.

That season was the start of SL starting to really invest in City, both the squad and ground. He followed it up for the next few seasons until COVID hit.

If Nakhi is still injured I’d give Cornick a go. Maybe not to start due to lack of match practice but certainly from the bench. In fairness to the guy he always gives 100%.

He can’t do worse than Mayulu to be fair.
I think Sam Bell could be an option.

I still think he’s a good young coach. Harshly treated at Sunderland and Hi s, and Fleetwood was a mistake on his part, a basket case club, and a I think it showed his desperation. He may not be a No1 somewhere for a while, but I believe he will be a very good No2, with a view in the next 5 years to being a No1 again.

It does make you wonder who is scouting for our strikers at the club. Cornick came in under Nige, costing c£1m, and it seems he’s on £15k a week, one of the top earners at the club. He has done nothing in terms of goal scoring to justify that, although I do like his work rate and effort. Add to that what seems a very poor signing of Mayulu, we have 2 different managers making poor striker purchases, but who is scouting these players and offering them up as options to our managers. If we go back further, we can add Diony to the list, has our recruitment and analysis team changed at all during the reign of these 3-4 managers?

    Supcon, good question.
You didn't mention Engvall, who was as bad as any.

He was, but he did actually have a good reputation at least, but yes he was an awful signing.
