I genuinely don’t know how I’d feel, I know it won’t happen obviously, but if it did, I’d be torn. Good god NP rubbed certain individuals up the wrong way, imagine what Colin would do <laugh><laugh>

    Personally I’d love Warnock
I just can’t see it happening
He’s to much of a ‘strong personality’ and would call-out the failings of Lansdowns and BT and they wouldn’t be able to take it

This has to go down as a failure of the senior management at the club. Tinnion and the JL should have seen this as a possibility and made sure that our most successful manager for years saw his future at Ashton Gate. They should also have a succession plan with options. I strongly suspect they dont and Tinnion has to go.

So what she and LM have been through this year, you would deny your wife the chance to be back closer to family?

    They’re all amateurs
It’s been proved time and time again that the owners don’t have any ambition, or know how to effectively run a football club that has potential far greater than they can see
So we’ll carry on as we always do with ‘make do’

Our ‘official’ site has been poor for about 3-5 years now.

This has all come about when SL said no major signings next season-no ambition I would do the same as Manning.

Absolutely. I don’t blame Manning if he went to Norwich.
Far more likely to achieve a promotion there, plus closer to family. It’s a no brainier really.

This is why, as disappointed as I would be, I can understand the pull to go there at the moment for him and his wife.

That maybe the case, but in your original statement you mentioned his wife behind it.

Sometimes we forget that managers are human beings too and as such deserve our respect no matter what happens. Liam and his wife went through a dramatic and terrible time when their new-born son passed away and they probably decided, as a family, to rethink their priorities in respect to their location and future prospects. The Norwich job seems to fill a lot of boxes for Liam and who would blame him if he grabbed the offer with both hands which would place him back amongst family and friends? Good luck Liam and family for your futures. :emoticon-0100-smile

Totally agree, put the money towards a striker, or competition for Max, or just leave it to give the new man options.

George Campbell linked with Bristol City transfer
George Campbell was in action for CF Montréal against Inter Miami last night. However, his side lost 4-2 with Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez scoring braces. Campbell was at fault for one of Suárez's goals as the center-back took a heavy touch in the box, which the Uruguayan leapt upon.

The USMNT defender has had a mixed campaign for Montréal in MLS this campaign. He has played 11 league games despite having groin and hamstring problems. The Canadian side is struggling, though, as they sit at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.

Despite this, Campbell could earn himself a move to Europe. The sports broadcaster Ben Jacobs posted on X: "Understand Bristol City are set to make a move for Montreal defender George Campbell. The 23-year-old USMNT international is expected to cost around £1m."

Campbell made his USMNT debut earlier this year in a 3-1 win over Venezuela. However, Mauricio Pochettino has not called him up since the January camp. Moving to Bristol City, who play in the Championship, could improve Campbell's chances of future call-ups.

With Atkinson, Vyner, Dickie and McNally already here it doesn't make sense.......especially when we have far more pressing concerns......ie keeper and striker.

Stickers Strikers required and goalkeeper who ever is running the show needs sacking.

Expecting Bristol City to ever get in the type of players that each manager wants to boost his squad to make a challenge is rather like waiting for the return trip on the Titanic. Lansdown Sr, or whoever is actually in charge, has to get the next one right because the supporters are absolutely fed up with this apathetic approach to rebuilding a competitive squad capable of a serious run for the top of the table ,because our lousy history seems to dictate that it is the only way we attempt to move forward. We don't want or need a nodding dog subservient to the likes of Tinnion and John Boy but rather a rational thinker who knows how to set up a winning team and encourage players to perform above their weight. Who exactly is pulling the strings down in BS3 and are they worthy enough not to be sacked or will we continue to wander around like a bunch of lost sheep looking for a new shepherd to guide us to this promised new future? Sometimes if you let go of the reins you may have an enjoyable ride - go figure!

When I read that Bristol City is looking at George Campbell of the MSL I know for sure that we are back in the bargain basement searching for hope where there isn't any. I also suspect that we will be looking in the same areas that we used so badly last summer where we spent 5 or 6 million pounds on no-hopers and wannabes that proved to be less than useless and a total waste of money that should have been spent more wisely. The mess that we appear to be in yet again has to be down to the likes of Tinnion and others who appear to not know what they are doing and it has cost us dearly over the last 10 years. The hangers-on need to cleared out and replaced with staff that can actually bring stability to the team rather than continually jump from the frying pan and into the fire, where you can get seriously burnt.
