50/50? Pulled out of 100/0 when he was the 100! @Teessidemackem he really was as bad as others are making out. Ridiculous if he gets another minute in a Sunderland shirt
Mags have pulled our shirt in and played with more pride than him yesterday, apparently straight down the tunnel at the end too, I hate digging out our players but I agree, send him to Brighton now
Not much to say about yesterday, thought we were excellent first half but ref ruined the game within 10 mins. Only real point to make is on Watson, as others have already said. Was all for letting the lad play and wasn’t too fussed on the move. That being said, what he did on that pitch yesterday was nothing short of a disgrace. Deserves all the stick that comes his way IMO.
IIRC it's only one game for a professional foul. Three games for violent conduct. Something like that anyway.
Say what you want about our sending off but it was that which almost certainly won the game for Bristol. One question. Why did Patterson keep kicking the ball out to Watson when it either went straight out for a BC throw in or one of their players inevitably got the ball, we never did. Are we keeping our real game plan secret?
Asif the cheeky little tw@t had the nerve to say this aswell..... Hes been at the club since being a young kid and this is the way he treats us. I literally hope he flops like Greenwood has when he left to join Arsenal and spends his career being loaned to Championship clubs each season with none deciding to keep him like Greenwood.
As a Sunderland supporter you'd think going ahead, with ten men away from home, would at least raise a smile on Watson's face ... ... that was the last straw for me.
Didn’t even come over and claps the fans. you could see how upset Trai was, He hold his hands out to apologise too
You’re always very positive and I’m proper glass half empty.. but his showing yesterday was a disgrace. Totally let his teammates and the fans down. And the club for that matter. When you’ve got a 19 year foreign lad up top who had no allegiances to this club before his transfer absolutely busting a gut scrapping for everything against 2/3 defenders most of the time it just puts into perspective how pathetic that little bastards showing was yesterday. Supposed to be a Sunderland lad you’d think he’d show it meant something to him. For all of their individual flaws at times every player in that squad normally leaves everything on the pitch and I couldn’t imagine another one of them putting in such a weak, effortless performance.
He should be told to pack his bags and go to Brighton now. Isn't his brother at the club? It's to be hoped he doesn't have the same advisors as Tommy.
Yeah there's a few pairs of brothers in the academy at the minute, Ogunsuyis little brother scores tonnes for the u14 team. Also Lewis Miley's brother, Watson's, the Jones'. Id imagine there'll be more.
I can’t help but think because A) it was a nothing match and B) we generally have a squad of “nice lads” he’s probably got away with it a bit but I can’t imagine someone like VVD taking kindly to that performance. He’s went after Trent a few times last few seasons when he’s been poor tracking his man and leaving gaps. I hope one of the senior players said something afterwards. We already had a defender sent off and he constantly left Hjelde exposed down the left for nothing other than total lack of trying, i would’ve been fuming if I was him.
As soon as he was sold I said it'd be a mistake to play him unless RLB wants him as cannon fodder to save injuries to other players ... ... sadly he's not even useful for that. Whatever people say about Aouchiche, despite hardly ever getting a game, he never put in a display like that. I wish he was still here because you can play him anywhere and he's always at it.
Have a watch guys one of yours views Hi Sunderland fan here but I wanted to share you my vlog from yesterday. Non biased opinions, ALL the goals and genuinely thought your fans were fantastic! Can see why you’re in the position you are. We looked terrible and well deserved win ⚪️
Agree, heart is one thing these lads have in abundance and even on a poor showing they still leave it all out there and battle to the final whistle. Not the type of performance we’ve seen from an individual for a long time, or one I can remember anyway - I’d even go as far back probably as the championship season we went straight down.
There'd have been a few scuffles, in the dressing room, after one of my Sunday League games ... ... absolutely no excuse and he's writing the script for if he ever returns to the SOL. I'd imagine Hume would relish it.
only one i can think of is 'chodwell' but he at least had a history that caused him to think he was a decent player...even that season you mentioned we could see the lads were trying, they just had no confidence.
He was a Scouser and Everton supporter so no connection to Sunderland whatsoever ... ... no excuse but not as shameful as Watson.
