I never saw the game yesterday i was out all day, however im glad to see Hume will be getting a rest for a few games. Ive just seen Mayendas goal . Hes gonna go far that lad. Its laughable that i slagged him off in August. Im the first to admit when i get things wrong, and this is one of many times ive done it over the years.
So did I Given that Mayenda only had one defender to beat and was already in their half, I felt that it was a clear scoring opportunity - until the defender wiped him out with a challenge ten times worse than Hume's tickle on Wells.
It’s clear the Bristol fans and players would’ve screamed even louder if one of their’s had been sent off for such a soft challenge.
The surrounding of the ref was very annoying and repetitive. I definitely see why it was given as a red at full speed though.
Nicked from X. Hopefully stop some of the doom mongerers. Southampton lost 3 of their last 4 games of last season going into the play offs including a 5-0 defeat and still went up Calm the **** down man, only thing that matters is getting and keeping players fit going into them 2 semi final games
Monday's going to be interesting... think we need a first half solid Bristol performance to cheer the crowd up... cannot wait Hhhaaa'wwwwaaaaayyyyyy the lads
Was Watsons performance yesterday as bad as people are making out on Social media? Theres alot of anger getting thrown at him. Like i said i didnt see the game, but i also know he was terrible against Swansea. Is this just a dip in form, or does he really not give a feck anymore now he's managed to force his move to Brighton instead of having the decency to wait till the end of the season?
It's nothing to do with last defender. The rules state: Denying a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity to an opponent whose overall movement is towards the offender's goal by an offence punishable by a free kick (unless as outlined below). It looked a harsh decision but probably met the criteria for a red card https://www.thefa.com/football-rule.../football-11-11/law-12---fouls-and-misconduct
I believe he dived as soon as he felt the merest of contact. It was embarrassing when he jumped up and with others surrounded the ref demanding the red.
Couldn’t make a 5 yard pass, didn’t beat a man all day and pulled out of just about every 50/50, looks to me like he’s checked out
watched it all the way, watson was rubbish and i do not mean he 'had a bad day'...held back from any challenge/header, never got up to any speed when he had the chance to chase a ball, literally walked around the pitch, no effort to get back and help (in total contrast to le fee who defended well and roberts who covered the middle) i would like to say he at least made the numbers up but even that would be over generous. i normally stand by our players but that was not even a terrible show, it looked more as if he never wanted to be picked and made sure he was that bad so RLB would not pick him again.
just watched the clip of the foul...i still say hume did not foul the lad, if anything he tried to avoid contact but the lad ran across him which initiated contact...although i would say it was a 'foul' it was not a sending off, very, very harsh.
Sorry to sound really dumb here, it’s because I am haha, but is humes suspension only 1 game? And if so how?
