Reid was at his best when Patterson was on form. With Palmer they would probably really complement each other. Then hopefully we will stop going long ball.
In fairness, he was only one season in that position and then he went to Cardiff. I’ve not met one Cardiff fan who has a bad word said about him and wondered why he wasn’t played more. It’s been one criticism they have of Warnock. Plus scored five goals in the Prem in scattered 27 games. Where’s Gayle has only scored 13 in 66 games in the Prem. Bet the goals per minute Reid would shade it.
Gayle 4693 minutes 13 goals = 1 in 361 minutes Reid 1422 minutes 5 goals = 1 in 284 minutes As I said Reid might of been one season wonder as RR claims, but prior to that season he played in a completely different position and looking at his Prem stats it’s better than Gayle’s, who would cost a lot more. Get me being a stato, in your face JGF

Scott Murray, Louis Carey? Rumour was he was set to come back in January on loan until the Salah incident.
There are exceptions I realise, a loan last January may well have worked well, I’m just not convinced having him back permanently is a good idea.
Are you suggesting City would have gone in for Reid in preference to the Arsenal player if the Vassell deal happened earlier?
I haven't read or heard anywhere that Bobby would be prepared to come back or that he is even available.
No but I didn’t expect City to not have a plan B, just the timing of it all with Vassell moves it quicker. If we’re really lucky they may take Diedhiou to really stop us going long ball.
