Reading the above has convinced me Webster is leaving. Ashton is doing his now usual brilliant job in getting a fantastic transfer fee.
A fat signing-on fee, quadrupling of wages and playing in the Premiership - he'd be mad to turn it down.
    He's gone.
Will be very interesting who we have lined up to replace Webster as I'm sure Ashton and LJ have it 'covered'.

Apparently Kalas is a done deal, been that way for a week but on extended leave due to international games.
Rumour is when he comes back from Prague he will be modelling the away kit.

I guess that depends on whether Villa can get close enough to our validation. The press will always say Villa are a step closer, as they are the Prem side now, so how could they not be.......

Fair point ROD, however, strikers have been the only real area that has seen LJ lacking in his transfers so far. Apart from Tammy on loan, and arguably Fammy, most of the rest of his striker signings have been poor, some very poor.

for the first time in months I pressed the accept for cookies on the Bristol post site …. AND 2 MINUTES IN up came a big red warning from my anti virus ..it had just blocked and quarantined a dangerous malware / ransom site … co incidence ? or not .. the first such warning I have had for many months and only that site and the beeb 's SOMERSET CRICKET was open . When you go onto site and accept it also releases over a hundred cookies onto to computer .. they BP get paid to release them when you accept on their site . Last time I did A "TEST" with BP site after 5 mins it had generated over 700 temp files... every 5 hour now I automatically clean my internet temp files … has been as high as 7,000!

Kalas will replace Webster. Another one would be nice but I wouldn't say it was a priority with Wright Baker Moore Vyner and Cundy at the club

Hoping that Baker returns to full fitness and shows us the player we know he can be.

Not sure Moore and Vyner are ready to play alongside Kalas and isn't Cundy going out on loan somewhere.
That leaves us with Baker, who I rate, but injury seems to plague him and Wright who is not my idea of a Championship defender.
Back up maybe, but definitely not a first choice for me.

    Decisions decisions LJ/MA.

I know you don't rate Wright but at 26 he has played over an hundred times at Championship level. He is by definition a Championship defender with still time to improve. Yeah I would imagine Cundy isn't ready yet but Moore and Vyner should be getting closer to the first team. I'd be ok starting the season with Kalas (hopefully) Baker and Wright as the main Centre backs and with these two as back up. It would be nice to strengthen but I think there are other positions which need more attention first.

Kalas was bought to play alongside Webster, like last season, Baker was rarely fit, Bailey Wright was here last season also , offers cover , but Is no Webster, the others will be out on Loan as not championship standard, if Webster leaves we will need to replace him as we replaced Flint when he left last season.

LJ wouldn’t have bothered buying Kalas had he thought the others were as good as you say, he would have just gone with your line up but instead of Kalas used Webster.

Wright was injured until January. Both Moore and Vyner are another year older Vyner with a season of Championship football under his belt and Moore with a season of League one football.
