I'm not quite sure what to expect this summer in regards to the changes that have to be made by Bristol City, but everything that has been mentioned on various sites don't exactly fill my heart with anticipation. Having to understand that the club I have supported for over 60 years is never going to set the football world on fire has an air of acceptance of mediocrity, despite the fact that I want to see them play in the Premiership once in my lifetime. All I want is for us to enter a new season without doubts and questions circling over Ashton Gate, leading to the seemingly inevitable excuses for our underachieving, followed by all the reasons and lack of squad depth that has got us to this point in the campaign. We can't wait until January to shore up the bastion that should be Ashton Gate because if we go down that same fruitless road again we may as well all pack our bags and look elsewhere for some entertainment. Who knows what treats the summer may hold but I am not preparing a fireworks festival to celebrate our new potential signings and the other business transactions?
I agree, I don’t think he’ll be playing for us, but he’d be better off going to a club he can get PL playing time with, than one that loans him out, or one he spends time on the bench or not even in the match day squad.
I do as well. I think a club like Brighton would be a good one for him. Not seen any interest from them though.

Bristol City manager keeps door ajar for Tomas Kalas as he shares fitness update for final games The central defender is out of contract at the end of the season having made just two league starts this season https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/bristol-city-kalas-door-ajar-8393356
In a perfect world a FIT Kalas would be our No 1 central defender. And wouldn't mind Atkinson fighting the Aberdeen and Palace players to play alongside him. In a really really perfect world Brentford would be mad enough to pay a million for Vyner. It does happen. We were mad/insane enough to pay a million for Marley Watkins only a few years back. Ps - I've woke up, it was just paper talk about Brentford and Vyner. Ah well, I can dream.
Regarding Vyner, I'm not sure you and NP are reading from the same hymn sheet, are you saying NP doesn't know a bad from a good player when he see's one?
We all have differing opinions 1For and you more than anyone don't always believe what we're fed. Our injuries to central defenders and being our only right footed central defender that's given Zak an automatic srart. Let's see if he's first choice next Autumn. 1For, take your own advice - don't believe what you read in the 'papers'.
Paul Hartley talks up former club Bristol City amid interest in Aberdeen’s Ross McCrorie https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/f...ity-amid-interest-in-aberdeens-ross-mccrorie/
I am not as convinced by Atkinson as you RP. He has mistakes in him as well, as we have seen this season, but I recognise he is an NP purchase, which means in your mind he can’t be criticised…. My big concern is, how slow he is. I’ve seen milk turn quicker than Atkinson does at times. He won’t get away with that if we truly want to be a team at the top of the table, and he would be cruelly exposed if we did ever reach the PL. At least Vyner has pace, and can recover much quicker when he, and others makes mistakes, Atkinson can't. Purely based on this seasons form, for me ZV is just ahead of RA to be the partner with Kalas As I have said before, both are fairly young and would benefit from a full season alongside the likes of Kalas, or another higher quality CB.
That wasn't taken from the papers RP, that was from the horse's mouth on several occasions....unless he was being lip synced
Rob Atkinson: Defender to stay at Bristol City until 2026 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65429484
Supcon72 I agree completely about Atkinson and said much the same a few days ago about the slack I'd give him. 1For papers is not 'papers'. I know what Pearson said, he's playing a canny game.
https://www.bristolworld.com/sport/...ghton-make-ps25m-star-priority-target-4123585 It seems Brighton are showing an interest in Scott, if true it could be interesting
Swansea City join Coventry in race for Bristol City star at risk of free transfer It could be a case of one in one out in the summer as Bristol City consider freshening up a key area of the pitch. https://www.bristolworld.com/sport/...ol-city-star-at-risk-of-free-transfer-4123621
Zac an example of how players can improve according to Nige…. https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/nigel-pearson-makes-bristol-city-8393778
I recon next season, he will be one of the first name on the match day team sheet!! Let’s see how canny you think NP is!!
