I don't know if anybody else saw the game.

I was heartened to see that the Bears collectively did not take the what seems to have become the 'obligatory' knee before todays game, they all stood in a heart shape, whilst Saracens took the knee.

Well done Bristol Bears, let's hope BCFC have the balls to do similar, not holding my breath.

    Respect.

I have noticed recently just how intense the major companies seem to be subtly pushing "BLM" into our faces … WATCHING some of the "crime" programmes mostly from USA just how often the "knee" got used … very regular and nearly every instance on an individual that was intent on resistance … but … so far never more than a few seconds [ maybe 20 -30 ] whilst cuffing the offender. the 8 minute thing causing all the strife at the mo was a one off and deservedly needs the perpetrator to be punished as it was well out of order …
FAIR play to the Bears and the hundreds in the spotlight that adopt other methods … ALL LIVES MATTER …

    [quote BCFCRob Why quote ]
It is very condescending, and using a tragedy to promote their advertising. it also detracts from the subsequent event of peaceful rallies itself which initially had a positive impact … and now promotes an organization taken over by ne'er do wells who are intent on criminal acts and is latest excuse to vent their need to cause anger and dissent by a few, aimed atthe many who "were" 100% behind initial reaction ….

@Red Robin in doesn't get it shocker!!!!

To be clear: the Black Lives Matter movement is not saying that all lives don’t matter. What it is saying is that if we care about all lives, we need to start caring more about Black lives.

Imagine if you were at a gala raising money, awareness, and having a conversation about breast cancer, and then suddenly, a bunch of people stormed the banquet hall and started chanting all cancers matter. Talking about breast cancer doesn’t take away from the legitimate concern about other cancers. Or imagine if while ‘Boston Strong’ was trending after the Boston marathon bombings in 2013, a bunch of people started tweeting that ‘all cities are strong

Interesting that you blame BLM for the violence and not the centuries of oppression but there you go.

The thing is Bob, that the human race has been oppressing one another since the day man first learned to walk upright. Then he started bullying others and it's never stopped and never will. Sad but unfortunately true.

The Romans enslaved us, the North African Barbary Pirates enslaved us, the Vikings enslaved, the Normans enslaved us, how far back do you want to go and where do we, the native Brits, Black or White, whose forbearerers were enslaved, raped, killed, sold onwards stand in the love stakes for those lives that matter.

Racism is disgusting and a slur on mankind, all creeds have used and profiteered by it, Blacks, Arabs, Asians, Whites, American Indians, South American Natives, Nazis, Chinese, all sorts, all kinds, all religons, all human kind, not just one group.

Life can be a cess pit.

Right where to start its up to people how to mark their support against racism it is not up to anyone to say yay they didn't kneel or yay they did just because you agree/disagree with it.

Rather than complain about the use of black lives matter be better to find out why they don't feel like their lives matter then just be like

Sky are a private company if they want to spread the message that's up to them they decide what they show and what they don't if it increases the conversation as to the issue people are feeling thats a good thing.

The BLM didn't create violence it was created by violence it is highlighting violence faced on a daily basis for people.

Violence on white people is shown i saw some yesterday.

Yes oppression will still go on but doesn't mean we have to accept it we can and should all do better

BLM is used as an instrument to accommodate violence / looting ... BLM STARTED as a letter of support to a Black family who had a member "wrongly treated by the law" it turned out though that the individual concerned and his family members had committed acts of perjury etc to " cash in on the event" and he was indeed guilty!!!

    not a good comparison

    bother what?

see my first response above …. it was mistakenly started as support for a black family "hard done by/ cant say falsely accused as turned out he was guilty! so really a bit of a conundrum ...the tag was "invented" a couple years before... and the sad event of a month or so ago grasped hold of it … then the criminal lawless element jumped on the band wagon to loot and beat up cops … then the minority element of do gooders jumped on as well to express their beliefs regarding selective bits of history, history that has been here for millennia ….
