He actually got alot of games for Arsenal and gave more bad performances than good.

I would prefer Adebayor back than Bendtner. wko cares if he was often played on the left or right the same could be said about Theo or (RVP for his first few years). with the midfield he played with he should've scored alot more.

I'd take him back, but he needs to drop the ego and get on fighting for his place instead of telling everyone he's the best striker in the world.

  3. Oh no!!!!! Ade!!!!!!!! <laugh>

The funny thing about Ade was that following a pretty impressive 2007/2008 season where we showed that life could go on after Henry and notwithstanding that we missed out after that Birmingham draw, he simply went off the boil. It was just the same at City and I'll wager that the pattern will be repeated at WHL. All along though he'll be spouting positives which really amount to promises undelivered. I just don't understand the guy. Wonder how we would have got on had Arsene retained Baptista?

  5. Thanks for that. I don't remember much about him save for that Saturday at Anfield when he scored four I think. Did read somewhere that he was hoping to stay with us but Arsene eventually said no.

I think he should have stay and fight for his place instead of demanding automatic place form his manager. And he said he can never play for Arsenal again. Well expirence player like Arteta know how important to play for a club like Arsenal. wishes him best of luck in Sunderland

You know he has never said that right? It was just the media twisting his words.

Bendtner played as a centre forward is a good player, good enough for Arsenal, yeah why not, but certainly not first choice. He has the tools but unfortunately he has to improve lots of areas.

People who say he hasn't had a chance are talking rubbish, he got an extended run in the team a couple of seasons back when RVP was injured and although he scored some goals against the crud (yes I know he scored that bundle-a-thon against Barcelona), his general play was poor and he missed too many chances.

    Bendtner's 2nd touch is always a tackle !

    LOL

The whole pink boots thing 3 years ago stank of arrogance, he's done nothing on the field since to change my mind

WTF? So what if he has different coloured boots to everyone else? People need to stop reading so much in to little things.

means absolutely nothing I'm afraid, the papers quote each other all the time without checking if the 'story' is true. Remember the Bendtner 'quote', the Fab 'spitting' incident and countless others that probably didn't happen? For some reason these rags like to cause problems at our club, funny how Harry, SAF, Kenny et all never get everything they say or do reported like it was the end of the world.

Just a view that he (and others) should concentrate on becoming better players and winning games of football before accepting large sums of money to wear an item of clothing that makes you stand out.

One thing I will say about B52 is that his tracking back was better than most, yes he lost the ball more often than not but his work rate off the ball always impressed me, not something you see on TV but when watching from the stands you
see the 50 yard sprints to close space down etc.
But he'll never be a natural striker for me...

  14. Well I think that if some manufacturer or distributor wishes to sponsor him, then all well and good for him. I don't think he earns a fortune at Arsenal so good luck to him if he is in line for some additional sponsorship.

His work rate is good and I still think it is not easy to judge his ability in the absence of a full season of participation in the first team. We'll have a chance this year, won't we? I have a sneaky feeling he could surprise a number of us. One other thing to note is that he is still relatively young by comparison to the main players who would have been around him last year. He is actually younger than Fabregas and Nasri. Had we retained him this year, Gervinho would be senior to him in years so I'm prepared to see how his season pans out before either breathing a sigh or relief that he's gone or wishing he would return.
