I too am as ever optimistic, but this time well grounded! Much encouraged by recent signings Barry et al and I am staying with my expectations with 4 weeks bedding in, stuttering performances, top 6 by October. Then with 1st XI sorted, we push on to fight for autos.

Got my ticket, first time at Portman Road since the COVID struck - so really looking forward to it. Heard the stadium has been given a spruce up too.

I’m hoping we’ll click against what should be quite limited opposition. This opening run of fixtures looks quite forgiving on paper, so hopefully the errors we’ll make (and with a whole new team, I’m expecting several) won’t be punished as heavily if we were up against the likes of Sunderland, Rotherham, Lincoln etc.

I’ll go for a 2-0 win, Pigott and Chaplin to score.

Stadium has had new white and yellow lines painted, got new chairs in the dugouts, new carpet in the dressing rooms. There have been a lot of improvements made already, hope you notice a big difference and have a great day mate
