What do they say,if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks it's almost certainly a duck-however long he's played at right back,Chambers, bless him, still plays like a centre half!

Well if you class Chambers as a right back then he is a god damn awful right back and is acweak link that will get exposed time and time again!
Cant say i enjoyed the game, result was great but feck me the football was poor!

Any 3-0 away win is a good result and apart from the saves it was good to see Gerks coming off his line to pick a couple out of the air, perhaps hes been told. It was also good to see Berra completely dominate that 6ft 7ins tart to such an extent he was subbed before he got a red card, so although Charlton were poor and much tougher matches are coming up thick and fast I don't think we could have expected more and you Town fans were brilliant.

I would've likes that post twice if I could, FM <ok>
6'7" tart sums him perfectly <laugh>
Gerks did come for some high balls and played well.

Good result and actually not too bad entertainment wise but by god it was awful football from us (bar the last goal), I think I can only remember us stringing more than 3 passes together on the floor no more than twice in the match. Difference was in the 2 boxes, Charlton had nothing upfront and when they did they found Gerks in fine form, we on the other had looked clinical and attacked the space putting bodies on the line. I thought Charlton dominated the middle of the pitch and actually looked like they've got some handy players in there just completely toothless upfront, if they had a Murphy or a Sears, the result would've been completely different

Footy is never going to be world class under Mick but so long as we get results - I seriously couldn't care less.

I'd RATHER us play Joe Royle free flowing open as a prostitute football, we all would. However, Charlton highlighted us being back to a bloody pain in the ass to play against - something I personally don't mind.

Take us under Jewell - we often played quite pleasing footy for 75/80 mins but had a soft underbelly and would often lose games we perhaps shouldn't.

I thought at times vs Charlton we did get it down - Douglas in particular offered a few incisive intelligent passes and I think over time he'll be very appreciated ( should he continue in that vein )

Boro is a big test! They won't fancy Portman Road on a Friday with us getting in at um!
