What irritates the hell into me ( second game ive seen in a year... other Norwich ) in this is we're offering utterly NOWT. We've contained Boro very well first half, but offered ZERO going forwards. Now we're 1 down clearly we're going to have to come out and offer something.

I really cannot see us getting back into it today, may put 2-0 Boro in a second half acca for ' fun '

    Yep, feeling patriotic.

    £1.50 on - Boro 2-0 / Spurs 2-0 / Wolves + Villa to win will return £96 via Skybet.

C'mon TOWEN, score and make me LOSE. G'wan

I agree, we've been crap going forwards.
We need to replace Chambo, he only ever does one of three things when he has the ball. Pass square to Webster, slightly forward of square to Skuse or he lumps into the opposition LB channel.

Wow, that was far too easy. 2-0
Got passed around by 'boro with our players looking static. We offer no movement at throw-ins or when moving forward, it's like each player has to go alone to make up some ground.

'boro make little cynical challenges that stop us when we're breaking and allow them to get back into shape

Only saw the first half then stream issues but yeah - terrible. Boro were no better but had a lot of ball.

Looks a very big ask to do anything this season realistically.....

Thank **** that's over, we were garbage today.

    My thoughts....

Middlesbrough were far better than us, they had good pass and move passages of play whilst we we were constantly chasing shadows. They played the pressing game better than us and they made cynical fouls when we were breaking. I wonder if the ref had a red shirt on under his black one 'cos he was terribly biased with his decisions. First half was stop/start because of the ref and he ruined the flow of the game. We rushed everything in the final third, trying to force something to happen, 'boro on the other hand were patient, would happily camp out in our third and pass when the time was right. Our players always look they stand off instead of getting a foot in there. I'd also like to know how many unforced errors that cost us possession we make in a game 'cos I reckon we'd be leading the league in that stat. I always feel that Bart could release the ball much earlier at times. He has good opportunities to do so after a corner or attack but holds onto the ball and then kicks it up field after the other team have got back into position.

All in all, we were crap today, barely mustered any shots let alone get them on target. Garner came on and proceeded to spend much of the second half falling over and whining like a bitch, it's boring. I watched Teddy mostly after his introduction and he had some good moments. He tried to make things happen, carried the ball forward and made good movement off it to receive it again.

When you've spent North of £40 Million on players against a team put together on a pint of lager and packet of crisps then this is to be expected. Nothing to see here so best move on!

Just got in, oh dear, it seems like same old same old. Mid-table obscurity, top 10 at best as most of us predicted. Too inconsistent.

A shout from the South. Mick Out the door as soon as possible. Nowt changed there for me.

Do we now look forward to a grim 2nd half season and cold numbing dull Xmas period? Gawd, I do feel for those fans who get the courage to go weekly.

No surprises today by the sound of it, we can't compete on a regular basis with teams costing tens of millions but we should be able to get some shots on target during an hour and a half of football.
Names such as Ward, Waghorn, and Connolly, were hardly mentioned whereas defenders including Skues were mentioned frequently which I suppose means the best team won, it's Reading next lets hope for a better performance.

Mick did his usual lets grind the living hell into the opposition first half..... very painful to watch. Zero ambition, zero efforts on goal. Really would have liked us to have a damn good go at a Boro side low on confidence, not sit in and give them 65% or whatever first half. YES, we contained them well enough,,,,,,,, but then they scored right on half time. Just not really good enough ( and that is from someone who will happily give Mick until the end of the season )

Five off the blades who appear to be imploding - however down to 9th with Boro + Leeds moving on up.

January others are going to spend, to improve whereas are we likely to spend a ££££? I doubt it....

    Summary...

    * Glad I've been abroad and not subject to the shower of **** I watched today.........
    * Play offs really looks a damn difficult ask.
    * Sadly with our spend, and we came 10th it annoyingly WOULD represent a good season on paper.............

Am I happy with the current regime? No I'm really bloody not. I would like to invent a time machine, go back to 2007, and have hired a different manager to Keane to give someone with half a brain the ££££££££££ we had.

Sadly, we're not going down that road again any time and without it - We're surely stuck in this league.

Fortunately, Reading are toilet this season and they give us an opportunity to bounce back. Lets see if we can do just that......

Amen Warky, a massive problem the disparity of ££££ in this league for us now we're not going down that road. Sad but the first thing that came to my mind also at 2-0.

If I read things right, we didnt even turn up today. If we are going to go down by stonewalling boring defense, then lets at least play to win the friggin game.
Lets at least try and entertain and give a spark to those poor fans who travelled bleeding miles, freezing cold to watch the boys in blue.

But I wasn't there, and do you know, I am glad I wasn't.

Lets hope for more of a spark at the next Home games.

Oh the brand of footy under Mick has always for the most part been toilet. Even 14/15 when we were a nightmare to play, we still bullied/ mentally drained opposition with a game plan.

Considering our spend to others in the league, and pretty much the only chance bar a Huddersfield freak season / amazing luck with a bucket load of players I would say is the horrible to play against, in your face, battering ram McCarthy / Alladyce / Pullis approach.

I'm not remotely happy about having this thought process however this is where I'm at.

Really not looking forward to attending Wolves, however on the basis i have to come back to Bristol from Sheffield that date or around then it's on my travels so meh.

Anyone seen the Emoji film ? Saw it on my way back from Korea. Pretty much sums up all things ITFC for me right now. MEH.

I don't care how much we've spent, I've seen town teams put together with less money and less talented players than that put in far better performances than we do and keep the ball better and show some kind of ambition.
