3' 0-0 4-2-3-1 for [HASHTAG]#Gills[/HASHTAG] with O'Keefe and Cisse holding. Ndjoli on the right, RCC down the middle and AJ on the left. Hanlan is up top alone.

79' 1-1 Barry Fuller is booked for a late challenge.

Final Score 1-1 would take that all day long as I was expecting nothing...great start to the season.

I agree ( mostly ) with Matt Phipps. If we play as per fist half, Gills fans will have good entertainment this season - and we didn't have Willock nor used Mandron.
The substitutions were a little confusing -perhaps the management felt the players taken off were 'spent' - but I'm not so sure. Elliot still didn't involve himself enough - but overall, a good point - and promising signs for better fortunes for The Gills.

I agree with your last sentence, even though I was not at the game. Having time to think about it, it seemed a strange choice of substitutions at a strange time....or was it....maybe the management were thinking ahead, and thinking we could hold this at 1-1, so let's get these lads off early. Sometimes it don't always make sense to go for the three points away, it's more expected at home, and one point at Doncaster is a damn good point in the bag as I know you will agree, with 2-3 players rested early for the next game.
