I'm a fan of the current badge I think it looks great and pays some decent service to the area. It doesn't need changing for me but if they do want to I'd want something that reflects their vision for the future and not the past.

My major issue is that it is just too busy to have on a shirt. I would keep the whole thing as the club crest, but just use the central, quartered shield as the team badge.

Prefer the current badge if I'm honest.
But if the club wanted to converse with the fans and it was decided to change it I'd go with the majority.

What the hell happened between 66 and 77? All the other badges look good but it seems they could not be arsed in the slightest in that period.

Hope so, reconnects with the history of the club, noticed Kyril has mentioned Raich Carter, so there's hope his wearing the badge sees its reintroduction

At 24 year old it possibly will get changed.
I like the ship badge and the current.
If it does go back to the old "type"
Maybe tweak it and change the football in the centre for a black cat. :)

I like the ship badge but it looks very dated now. Its definitely a thing of its era, very late 70s. I wouldn't mind if it was used intermittently as a sort of secondary thing. I wouldn't it to make a full come back though. I quite like the idea of a black cat on away shirts, perhaps used in a similar way to the way Roma use the Lupetto badge on away kits or Huddersfield have done with their old terrier badge recently. If we're not going to stick with the current one, we need a complete redesign but I hope its something that has some recognisable links to the local area.

I like minimalist side of the 73-77 one. I think if we get a new badge it should be SAFC with a picture maybe a black cat.

Yeah I think if we were to change it I'd go with something more streamlined and snappier. You could probably make a minimalist version of the current badge which would look good, tweak the colours a bit maybe hoy some blue in.

I'd take a slight re-hash of the blue ship badge, I've never been a huge fan of the current one as it felt like a homage Newcastle's.

Whatever we replace it with needs to be carefully picked - for me I'd go with something that looks more traditional (hinting at the clubs history) than too modern like Arsenal's.

As a club we need a complete refresh from top to bottom, and changing the badge is part of creating that feeling.

Too many hippies during that period - I blame the LSD :emoticon-0110-tongu
I had the ship badge hand painted on my haversack and used all the way through school and Uni
    - I'm glad I didn't have to paint the current badge, far too complicated <laugh>

Yeah you'd need an art degree to paint the current badge, it's what I like about it, it looks prestigious.
