So then let's not sign any big money players based on that logic! Hey genius, that 40m isn't Kronke's personal money either, you think he gets that 40m from trees? That's THE FANS' MONEY THAT THEY PUT IN THE CLUB.

Anyways, we have come full circle now, you don't believe Arsenal should be spending 40m on quality players, that's all we needed to hear, finally, at least we now know for sure, that you simply have no big ambition for this club and want the status quo to remain, which is scrapping for top 4 and not aiming to become the best and win trophies.

You have demonstrated it brilliantly, that's the mentality of the board, and the few fans like you who manage to let them get away with it, exactly, why spend 40 million on a player, if we end up in the top 4 anyway? We save 40 million and make more profit!

This is brilliant, you have summed it allllllllllllllll up. And it's this type of thinking from the board, and fans like you, which is why we will never win anything unless that mentality changes, thankfully, most fans ain't on the same wavelength as you, most fans don't have mediocre ambitions of only competing with Spurs for the top 4, and ending 15-20 points from 1st place. Most fans, with the money we are spending, expect success.

Except the fans are not directly paying into a transfer kitty are they? No. You pay to enjoy a form of entertainment, your money buys you your seat so you can enjoy the game. What the club chooses to do with the money is up to them. The moment you spend that money it is no longer yours. It is NOT the fans money, it is the clubs money.

Edit: as far as spending 40m on one player, im quite happy for us to do it for the right one and i think most fans are as well.

And unless the club start spending it wisely on good players, the fans will make their feelings known, the fans are becoming more and more vocal towards their displeasure the way the club's being run, and the large number of empty seats we continue to see, is proof of that, and there will be more and more empty seats if all we're left with is scrapping for top 4 again, with no big signings, fans' patience is running out.

It may be the clubs money, but it's given from the fans, and when fans start voting with their pockets, the club will be losing that money. :).

Again, there is a real lack of reality in your posts that I find really difficult to reason with. You keep making logical fallacies in your arguments that makes debating with you tiresome. Here you make a non-sequitur argument. Just because I don't believe that Arsenal can get the quality players we need for 40M, or that any players that are 40M really are quality players, it doesn't mean that I have no big ambition for the club or I don't want the club to win.

You seem to be certain that there is a quick and easy way to win trophies, when ALL the evidence shows that there isn't.

I just don't see any merit in anything you or the person in the video are saying. You need to give positive reasons to support your assertion, not negatives from what you assume to be the other side of the argument.

Empty seats that have already been paid for are not an issue for our finances. And the fact is there is still a large waiting list of people wanting to get tickets for the games. It's supply and demand. A little group of you deciding not to go to games anymore, or to buy less pies isn't going to make any difference at all. Especially when you consider that our new financial deals off the pitch will have had such an impact on our income.

SOME fans patience may be running out, but plenty of otehrs disagree with you.

There is plenty of frustration from the fans at the moment as we really want the club to push on back to that very top level challenging for the main silverware. But we are still in a very strong position as a club to push forwards and fans like you are totally over the top with your critisicm of the club. I really dont think your in this huge majority you think you are. Most fans are just frustrated at the moment.

The thing with Arsenal, is we aren't even trying to win trophies, so get your facts straight, Arsenal are not attempting to win things, all their actions show their main priority is to get into the top 4, anything else is a bonus. And it's your type of mentality, which is why we never win things, because the board, just like you, don't believe in spending 40 million plus on quality world class players, after all, we can save that big money and still get into the top 4, and bank on more profits, so what's the point of spending big money on world class players to win things, when simply scrapping into the top 4 is still bringing in a lot of profits.

Look, you can talk all the **** excuses you want, fans are becoming more and more vocal with their displeasure at the way the club is being run, your excuses have ran out, and you can bet your ass that the fans will not stand for another season of scrapping for top 4, you will witness that in the continuation of empty seats, and the negative vocal discontent at the stadium and towards Wenger.

Bla bla bla income this income that, until any of that income is used, it means nothing other than the board pocketing nice bonus' for themselves, while all we do on the pitch is scrap for top 4, while fans like you and Toledo try to convince everybody else why that's amazing.

Your time is up, your excuses are over, the spinjob brigade like you go on about money constantly, we have the money now, so it's time to see us pushing on upwards, anything other than that and you can save your excuses. If we're in this strong position to move forward, which is what you pr boys have been going on about, then let's see it, either that, or just shut the **** up because you're not even following on what your saying.

Again, non-sequitur, just because we are not winning, it doesn't mean we are not trying to win. This is where you stop just being stupid and start being offensive. Again you use a negative and go hairing off into tin-foil hat conspiracy country in less than a sentence.

Again, the assumption that, but for the incompetence of our manager, players and executives, winning is a forgone conclusion. Please state your facts to support this.

You need to learn to read because i advocate making signings and spending some money and now believe it is there to spend - Just like the majority of fans.

That doesnt mean acting like a ****ish little twat and ranting and raving all the time... And it doesnt mean you are somehow in a majority.

In fact if the majority of our fans had your views and vocalised them in the way you do on this forum then we would have a fanbase far mroe like Millwall than Arsenal. Very passionate but thuggish ****s.

This is the perfect time for Arsenal to finally come through with the PR and excuses, we're now in a strong financial position, so all this talk from the club, and their apologists can finally come to fruition right? Now if it DOESN'T happen, then we all know you guys were just all full of ****.

Now we have a few days left for the club to demonstrate the fruition of our hard work, and our strong club position, by making the needed signings to take us to the next level, all the talking is over, it's time for action, and if the needed action isn't done by September 2nd, well then all this talk of big money, strong position, bla bla bla means **** all but empty talk.

Well as I just said, the club have a few days to finally prove their worth and show the fruits of all the hard years of work and patience to get us into this strong financial position. But the problem is this, if Arsenal don't do it, you will still be a little **** pr spin job master and will continue to make excuses, not realising how ****ing ******ed you sound.

You talk about strong position, strong finances, but again nothing gets done, but you'd fail to show some decency and drop the pr spin job act, but would continue to bullshit people, that's what i don't like about you pr boys, you guys are just full of ****.

All of Arsenal's actions prove they're not aiming to win trophies, if you think that, then you're just deluded. What part of selling your best players on a consistent basis is a sign of a club who wants to win trophies? What part of replacing those world class players with average players like Gervino and Santos is a sign of a club that wants to win trophies?

You truly live in your own bubble, Arsenal don't win trophies BECAUSE we don't take the actions to win trophies, and 9 out of 10 people, none Arsenal fans, would even agree to that, just go around and ask people if they think Arsenal are a team that set out to win trophies, and see they're responses. You're just living in a bubble as I said, where you spin everything, non-sequitur this that bla bla bla.

Everybody else on here knows how deluded you are anyway with your constant ARSENAL ARE GOD EVERYTHING IS FINE spin job.

You even said we would win the league last season, and said RVP would not replicate his form you put a rubbish spin job to EVERYTHING. I bet you found a way to put a positive spin on our 8-2 loss didn't you? WE SCORED 2 GOALS AT OLD TRAFFORD, THAT'S A VERY GOOD SIGN, SCORING 2 GOALS AT OLD TRAFFORD.

You take the cake now for trying to argue Arsenal are a club who aim to win trophies, LOL, ok.

I and most other fans who post on this forum (or at least from my take of reading the forums) think that now we finally have the resources we need (financially, the stadium, the core of this squad, the manager [debatable if most agree on that part] etc) to really push on and get back up to that top level. The way for that to manifest is in new signings and continued good results over the course of the season.

Myself, Piskie and most of the other posters that you try to single out as some sort of blind Wenger lovers who ignore negatives and make excuses, have actually posted on numerous threads over this transfer window that we believe Wenger and the club are now reaching a point where they can be judged on transfer dealings and how they take the club forward. We are finally at a point we can jump upwards from and we will all be frustrated if that doesnt happen. We may support Wenger through difficult times but no excuses will be made for a failure to take advantage of the positive position we are in.

I think the problem is that you ignore whenever any of us make sensible critisim so that you can keep up this "I'm fighting the apologists for the good of the club" rubbish. Which is really just you not being very good at articulating what you think the problems are at the club. A lot of us probably agree with you on certain points but you just act like a child and anything sensible is lost in a sea of swearing and ranting.

Well then, all I say is, let's hope the club push on and make the signings we need to show that ambition, and to show the fruits of our labour in the next coming days before the transfer window shuts.

No, All the clubs actions show that they are trying to win trophies, and not just pander to the fans. If they just wanted to appease the fans they would do what Spurs do and just buy any old players, so that the fans shut up.

Again, you seem to think that it is "Easy" to win trophies and that it is possible for Arsenal to guarantee trophies by spending the money they have on easily obtainable players. Because Arsenal are not able to fulfil this expectation of yours you assume that they are not trying instead of questioning your expectation.

Edit - BTW another logical fallacy - The man in the street argument. There is no guarantee that the man in the street or "anybody" has any more knowledge about what a football club should be doing to win than my dog.

So let me get this straight. Wenger in probably the last year of his contract, doesn't want to win, to set a seal on his legacy and prove that his strategy has been right all along. he is deliberately choosing to walk a tightrope and finish 4th. Really? Any particular motive for him to do this? Is he just crazy in a way that doesn't manifest itself in any other way?

I get that you think that Gazardis is a fat cat, bonus hungry clown, but doesn't that mean that he will be greedy for the huge bonus he will get if we do win something?

Your theory is just so full of holes once you try to spin it out. If Kronke doesn't put any money into the club, then why does he not want them to win? Doesn't he make more money if we win? If it is just the fans money, why not let them win? Makes no sense to me.

    Please explain?
