It wouldn't surprise me if we picked up another goal-scoring striker in the summer. Fryatt will go because he's several levels inferior to Long, Jelavic and Aluko I'm sure Bruce will have had his fill of bringing strikers off the bench who make no impression on the score. A substitute striker has to scare the opposition and Matty doesn't fit that category. Strength in depth doesn't just mean numbers, it means like-for-like quality and several of the 'B' team who have acquitted themselves very well could still be replaced by players who have more chance of forcing their way into the first team.
