I know it is a Brighton paper but this is a very good read. https://www.brightonandhovealbion.c...eloved-southampton-hasenhuttl-and-le-tissier/
Hmm. Prefer three at the back. Where’s Vesty? Hope JWP isn’t stuck on the right. Still, strong enough team to do this.
Woop woop, that's as near as dammit our strongest team IMO....hope we play well, score a few and consign 3 cbs to history. Oh and get the 3 points as well naturally...
Yeah you've got assume that Vestergaard has picked up something, for him to suddenly not be in the squad at all. Assuming he is unavailable, I wonder if we would still have reverted to a back four even if he was available. Or is it solely because we've been forced into it. (Ultimately, with our very limited attacking resources, I do ideally want us to play a back four on a more regular basis. Allows one extra forward player, in this case Armstrong, to get into the side. The problem though is that we're invariably so bad defensively, that we can rarely afford not to play three CBs.)
It's going to be a physical and tactical test for the back four against Murray today. Vestergaard not even on the bench so must have picked up an injury/illness. Nervous for this. Think it's going to be a really tough game.
4 at the back because Brighton’s main threat is from set pieces, and you don’t need 3 CBs to deal with that?
