I agree, Adam Armstrong has been pretty **** in the chances he’s had but he hasn’t had too many opportunities. Should definitely have been playing way more than he has in the last few games and til the end of the season
I really don't get it. Perhaps the intent is to reward Long for working hard, and punish others for not doing so. But still, maybe use words for that, rather than starting Shane Long.
The best thing for the (potential) long-term health of the club would be to just give Adams and Armstrong these closing five games and see how they go. We aren't going down, we aren't getting into Europe and the prize money difference shouldn't be life-altering. Broja is well and truly off the boil and may not even be here next season - and Shane definitely won't be.
I'm anticipating a cruise to a 3-0 lead at half time then the astute subs come on to complete the rout.
My winnings from the Burnley game as had them to win as well as the draw. C'mon Saints make me unlucky again!
I hope he does. I hope he goes a bags a hat-trick. But it still wouldn't persuade me that he should be starting - and I say that as a fan of his. It's about more than just these 90 minutes.
One thing re Adam Armstrong, he’s barely been tried with Broja and I’m curious to see how that would work. But yeah, falling behind Long in the pecking order is really a poor sign for him.
You couldn’t make it up. All the warm up and preparation and they concede before some people have arrived.
