Saints fans are nothing if not predictable!....still he is the new "Mane" after all!... Hmm, I wonder if he hates Pompey?...
Jonny and Magic were suggesting that it was no point turning up against Manure just a couple of days ago....
Would love us to smash their sorry arse. They have taken a big step backwards with the unlikable stakes again recently.
Great atmosphere today. Sending off turned the game. Djenepo and Boufal really made the difference. I don’t thing Ings and Adams work together. End of my stream of consciousness.
Just watched the extended highlights on NBC as well as the full 90. Not getting ahead of myself, but I am really excited to see how Moussa & Sofiane pan out this year. Every time they were on the ball I felt something special could happen. Happy days.
Last season we relied on Nathan for virtually all of our creativity and taking on defenders, now we have a triple threat (plus Stuey as well) and that is getting my juices flowing. Get Ryan back (or play Vokins) and Danso settled at CB in a back four and things are shaping up nicely. Direct running at the defence with quick skilful feet frightens the life out of the oppo and gets the fans off of their seats.
Striking partnerships and understanding can take time to develop sometimes, but we have a lot of other options fortunately.
Think I'd consider starting with either Djenepo or Boufal in place of one of the strikers, to give us a little more impetus.
The slightly concerning thing is why Danso was going to play LB instead of Betrand, regardless of injury?
Think Puel or Pellegrino, nice to care and show it. I've always liked Koeman just for that sprint (limp) along the touchline, we fans need to know they care and it's not just a job.
3 pts from those 3 games, not a bad return. It's like drawing two tricky away games and Liverpool at home. Although it's always great to beat a top 6 team, it's more important to pick up points from the Brightons of this world.
