Err, spooky or what...... Dj on, then Bouf.... good call. Mind you, Redders got a goal AND was MoM on the BBC website report.
Thank you Saints. After a week I pray to forget, I now have a smile as big as a cheshire cat. That tackle, nasty little prick. That ref, respect (first time I've wrote that about Kev) That goal, beauty! And that assist...................oh my, wonderful! FOB BFO
Great result Disgusting challenge Djenepo looks class Adams goal will come Cbs played decent This win will hopefully kick Saints on
I agree. I just feel that Danso looks a good bet in his rightful position. Slightly concerning is that Ralph has apparently said that he was always going to play Danso at left back irrespective of any knock to Bertrand! That is concerning!
Yes. I really like him (kiss of death alert) he's a lot better than mid champ level. His passing and off the ball stuff is promising so much more.
Decent result, although against 10 me anything less would have been poor. Hopefully we crack on from here. Trying to work out what system we played - was Danso playing left back.
A wide wise man once said “Give Boufal 6 games”. He looked a class above, when he came on and I would love to see him playing behind the front 2, in front of a 3 man midfield. Two in the middle means that we don’t have any control, even against 10 men. Regards their disallowed goal, the offside player’s reaction as soon as the ball went in, tells you that he knew it would be disallowed. Great impact from Djenepo and I applaud the referee for letting the advantage happen. The first thing I said to my son, about the goal was “Great advantage by the ref”, followed by great pass, great first touch and great finish. Haven’t seen the highlights yet, but the shot against the post. Was he offside for the knockdown? Don’t recall a free kick being given. 3 points and a clean sheet. Feel just a little bit, for Brighton, as we know what it feels like to be the better team, but lose.
Bring on Yoshida for Redmond, the second after going one-nil up. Look to hold onto a one-nil with more than 30 mins to play, despite playing 10 men. (Actually, going one-nil up in the first place wouldn't have happened, because Cedric would have come on for Valery, not Djenepo).
Three of the last four Premier League red cards shown by referee Kevin Friend have been to Brighton players (Shane Duffy v Crystal Palace, Anthony Knockaert v Bournemouth and Florin Andone today).
This was an incredible result. I was not expecting three points and felt that we were unlikely to get the gears in motion until the Bournemouth game. Any points up until that point will be a bonus although Saints will be brimming with confidence against Man Utd who will want to put today's result behind them next Saturday. I can look forward to Match of the Day now for once !
