May well be panning out like the 2007-08 season when Stoke pipped us to second spot with just 78 points. Looking at the bottom of the table I think sides will need more than 50 points this season to stay up. Shows there's not a massive gulf in class between top and bottom this year.
Its all about the margins ain't it...We had no luck yesterday, two off the line, one hit the crossbar, Gedo missed a sitter. If the luck turns for us..its ON
I always knew Blackburn were ****, but they're very close to the relegation zone now. Getting beat today too. Double relegation? Let's hope so.
I think they're just farther enough behind to not catch us.. But it's why we god damn have to avoid the playoffs, forest have had a march like us in 07/08.. Very similar to our surge up the table..
3-0 FINAL SCORE According to 5Live Palace have been very poor in the second half. Sounds a bit like City yesterday. As for Forest they have won six on the bounce, they'll probably now go on a run of six defeats
Reading one report of the game, it said both City and Forest were both going out to win the game. Thats Bruceys tactics all season .. he could have set his side out to at least get a point but he didn't...hopefully this approach will take us to where we want to be...
Great result for Tigers.....great to see Hollowhead and his cheating team beaten. Promotion in our hands again.
We played well yesterday, well enough to win. But NFFC played out of their skins for their manager- witness 5 bookings (should have been more), clearances off the line, cup final type celebrations. They're running on luck and adrenaline.
Totally agree - certainly did not play poor second half... had the Ref not been inept he would have put some of their lot in the book much earlier than he did and that would have curtailed their aggression sooner.. he then went on and booked four in 15 mins in the second half..
It's going to be a strange season for points. A team could have literally not lost a game all season, and still be bottom.
Well the results seem to be going with us just now, let's hope we can now push on and win a few, and keep the 2nd position in our own hands.
One game closer, maybe just maybe it's destiny.. I honestly hate international break.. could break us if some injuries
This has been a massive let off for us - our players need to realise we can't keep looking at other teams to do us a favour.
they made their forums private probaby because of the abuse haha they're such ****s A point would have been very good for us vs forest, quite a shame. I just wonder what happens on the last day. Cardiff already champions. Put a weakened side that partied all night beforehand. We win 2-0 and Celebrate with Cardiff fans.
We lost one of our nine lives yesterday, but if one defeat can be more positive tha another ours was certainly better than those of our rivals. Watford will be gutted at losing at Barnsley where I'm sure they must have marked as a gimme, Leicester saw more than a defeat yesterday - it was the final nail in their automatic chances and Palace have just been beaten as heavily as they beat us. On the other hand our performance was strong and committed yesterday and only lacked the killer goals (though there were no shortage of good chances). That's something we can take to Huddersfield whereas the others will have to try and pick themselves up.
